We named our son Alik. I couldn’t figure out why everyone was pronouncing it wrong. I found out years later it was a Muslim name he likes his name and I’m happy.
Well some people named their kids morons, or vyrus, or covid. Lilith is a beautiful name.
I don’t care. My baby my choice of name. Don’t like keep your bs opinion to yourself. If I want a “unique” name my child will never find on a keychain that’s my choice. If I want a “normal” name that my kid will have 3 other kids in their class with the same name that’s my choice. If I wanna spell Jackson Jaxsen that’s my choice. Name your kid what you want to name your kid. People are gonna be haters regardless.
I had one family member think my choice of middle name was dumb. Now someone in her hubby’s family used it as a first name and it’s fine.
It just makes me think of Frazier Crane’s wife. Who cares what people think of your choices.

Lilith is a wonderful name. And Lilith is an incredibly misunderstood entity that was demonized by Christians. Beautiful name for her. Dont let anyone bring you down for it

Maybe think how the name you choose will affect your child. Kids get bullied, and adults don’t get call backs based on thier name. More thought than “oh that sounds cute” should be out into it

My name is Jill and I grew up with my brother Jack. Yep, they really did that.
When I was pregnant with #3 and told people her name they would respond with, “But what are you gonna call her?!” With looks of horror on their faces. Her name is MaryAnn. I had no idea how horrible it was until about 20 people reacted that way word for word.

When my mom was pregnant with me she had a friend that begged her to name me after her. Her name was Ouida (pronounced Weeda) Thank god my mom declined.

People mocked me for naming my son Robert Lee, Robert was his father’s name and Lee is a family name on my side.

Lilith is a pretty name. And for your “religious” friends…she was not Adams first wife. That’s straight out of pagan mysticism. The only time I have a problem with what someone has named their child is when they name the kid with a name that will clearly be made fun of when they get in school. My last name is an example. Not that anything could be done about it. But I was teased miserably right up through high school. I hated school as a result. Never had many friends. So names can cause problems. But Lilith…that’s just a pretty name. Although the meaning in Hebrew is less than kind most people aren’t gonna go looking that up.

I had my son September 19th of this year. I left his name completely up to my husband, his dad. I had absolutely no clue until the paperwork was completed and turned over to the hospital. He said the moment I gave him the responsibility of our son’s name, he knew right away he would be name after me except he changed the spelling. Kendall Aaron. I do receive strange looks when I say my son is named after me. It’s not quite often your hear or seeing a male named after their mother.
