Has anyone removed an IUD on their own?

Just curious if anyone has removed an IUD themselves?

My husband pulled mine out

I did, but it wasn’t in for months or even years, you could have scar tissue grow around it so be careful, mine came right out, no pain at all

Yeah I have. Wasn’t hard at all.

I pulled my mirena out myself. I was in so much pain i could not even stand straight. So i grabbed it and pulled. It was almost like an instant relief. Dr that put it in was 2 states away and none else wanted to remove it so :woman_shrugging:t3:. But after having That thing in my body I’ve had hormonal issues and developed PCOS and in endometriosis

I’ve had one forcibly removed by hand…it obviously wasn’t pleasant

Haha yep! It was super easy!

I did by accident! It didn’t hurt somehow. But I only had it in for about a month or so. Got another one in after that.

I did but mine had slipped and was already starting to come out and was causing me so much pain, so I pulled it out. Instant relief. Definitely wouldn’t want to do it relief.

Mine came out I was 9months pregnant! No pain at all.

That would be crazy & painful, that’s a negatory!

Mine removed itself… during my very heavy clotty period. My IUD was expelled 3 months after I had it placed. It slid out wrapped up in 1 clot as it’s passed. I was so mad/sad all the things.

Uhm just don’t, it’s too risky. See your a doc

I accidentally pulled the strings and it hurt like f*ck coming out. I wouldn’t recommend it🤷‍♀️ And if yours is placed better than mine it could be a full on disaster. I lost a muscle during childbirth and it wasn’t held in that well to begin with, and it still hurt that much

I wouldn’t do that. You might tear something and end up in ER.
