So I posted a month ago about my tattoo artist moving away and needing to postpone my appt due to illness, well we rescheduled for this Saturday…. I just got a message that he needs to postpone again this time due to a different illness. I feel bad that he and his family are going through this, but I’m starting to think he just isn’t coming back and is just going to keep postponing. How would you go about asking for your deposit back? Do you think he will even give it back? I understand it’s a deposit, but I’m not the one cancelling
Just say dude I’m gonna need my deposit back asap
Id ask. And if he argues it, remind him that you’re not the one cancelling and that its pretty unprofessional on his end.
Would take less time just asking him than typing this out.
Just ask for it back and have him send it via Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp.
Ask of he can cash app you the deposit back. It’s only fair
If you didn’t make it to your appt… he’d keep your deposit… it should work the other way around. He didn’t make the appt… 2 times already you should get your deposit back.
Was there any agreement in writing about the deposit being non-refundable? If not, ask for that shit back
I would just be clear, I appreciate you letting me know you’ve been having a hard time. Unfortunately I really would like to get this done by (date) if you don’t think that is possible can I please have my deposit back.
Ask for it back. He’s the one canceling so he needs to pay you back and if not I’d contact an attorney. Issues or not that’s no excuse to rip someone off
Does he work for a studio? I’d give him a chance but if not I’d go above him if you can. Very unprofessional.
Just be like I know your going through a lot rn, I need my deposit back so I can book with someone else.
Just tell him ypu want it back
He proberly is not comming back and kiss your deposit good bye
Just say okay ill need my deposit returned and when you get settled back in to tatting, give me a call. But for goodness sake don’t let them do a rush job or keep your money.
Just say you would really like to get this piece done and if you could have your deposit back so you can get it done. Then let him/her know that once things are better to let you know and you’ll be back for your next piece
Just say I know you’ve got some stuff going on right now but we’ve postponed a couple times now and I’d like my deposit back
Sorry I can’t just need a refund for deposit please.
I’d just say that you are sorry for everything he is going through but because of all these delays you would just like to forget about the appointment and get you deposit back.
Ask for it back…maybe dispute it if you can
If he gives you any guff threaten an attorney.
I’d just ask for me deposit back. I’ve had a similar experience with a artist in Renfrew County. He canceled on me 3 times in less then a week, all less then 24 hour notice. The 3rd time I flat out asked for my deposit back as i had paid for a service that was now canceled outside of my control on multiple occasions. All of which I had arranged to leave work early to make it to my appointment on time.
Tell him you know he has a lot on his plate. Just return the deposit and that’s one thing off his plate.
I would say you are sorry his family is going through such a difficult time and that you found another artist closer and would just like to get your deposit back. Then send him your cash app and thank him for willing to do it, and say you hope they get better quickly.
Just tell him you want it back
Just ask for it back…I had an artist do this to me before…canceled 3xs if you wait to long you might not get it back.
I would just ask since he is the one who has cancelled twice.
Ask for your money back. He should give it back because he canceled.
Inam a very straightforward person so I would say. " I understand that you and your family are going through a lot at this time. I have been willing to work with you, but at this time I would like my deposit back."
As much as I would hate to say it sounds like he scammed you fr. Here lately I seen a lot of these tattoo scams lately
