How can I get my toddlers to drink more water? They absultey despise it.
I just give it to them with ice. Mine drink it no problem and understand juice/milk are for meals and not when thirsty
Put a little crystal lite in there. That’s the way I drink it
Start them on water with a sippy cup around 9 months and don’t make it optional. Kids drink/eat what you allow them and when you want to change it, it’s to hard and parents stop trying. Start off on the healthy track.
You should have been giving water from the start, never juice
Mix with juice be gradually add more water
I learned (luckily before any of my kids) once you give them juice, they’ll want nothing else. Even my almost 7 year old rarely gets juice (it’s like a special treat) only drinks he and my toddler get on a regular basis is milk and water. The couple times I’ve given my toddler juice, I watered it down a lot (like maybe an oz juice in 5-6 oz water
Bargain with them. Lol. For example, After you drink this glass of water you can have juice.
Put a little flavor in it, like a lemon or lime or a few drops of juice, or ice with a small piece of fruit in it for fun. Make mini water ice pops and let them suck on them. Put a little juice or a few drops of food coloring or pieces of fruit in them as incentives.
Let them drink no caffeine fruit or herbal teas with you. My grandkids love Celestial Seasonings Peppermint. I love Bigelow Botanicals.
I keep my own cup constantly filled with ice water and use the flavors semi often. For some reason they always want it if it’s in mom’s cup lol
I had a few I watched that refused water. I would give them a cup full of water an tell them when it’s gone they could have juice . For every cup of water they drank they could have a drink of choice after
