My toddler is free roam now… He’s almost 2. I need advice ASAP before next month. He ha a Small heat baseboard on the floor even with cover he can stick his fingers in it… Safety advice ASap please and thank you. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated or he will have to go back in a crib. I am a first time mom to two young boys.
I wish I knew, I’m sure there’s something out there. I guess I always just put furniture in the way of heaters so they couldn’t get to it. My current apartment stays relatively warm without using the heat in the winter so I’ve just never turned it on. My current toddler (4th kid) will not stop touching them and trying to stand on them (baseboard heater) so I just never let her out of my sight, it’s tedious, but sometimes it’s the only way until they understand
Try and look for what we call in the uk a fire guard. It stops children touching the fire.
when my son was 1yo I switched beds to one of those floor toddler beds bc at nap time he figured out how to climb before he really could walk!
he fell to the floor from the top of crib rail once he climbed to the top!! he was fine, very scared though. soo the choice to have him in his bed on lower to the floor was made. keeping him in bed was a whole different story. I had to get a night light that sings lullabies spun around the room with different themes in order to “sort of” keep him laid down
Neat heat baseboard cover.
