How can I set up play dates with my son?

My son goes to school 2 days a week, he’s 5, and has made some friends since starting in January. He’s my first kiddo. He wants to have play dates with friends but I don’t know these families. Do I email the teacher my info to pass to the kids parents, or send my son to school with paper that has my info on it to contact me for play date?

Have a meet and greet park gathering for the children and their parents. The parents can get to know each other and can find out what works for play dates.
