How can I teach my child about gratitude?

My oldest is 6 but this just came natural to him as me and his dad have never been the type of kids to complain about not getting what we wanted but being glad to get anything. The only thing I can say would be next time he acts like that take back whatever was given to him and tell him since he can’t be Happy with what he has he just won’t get anything. I’ve used this with my son when he wants a sweet snack instead of a healthy snack. I also tell me son as well as other kids “You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit!” That one works really well most of the time

Disney on ice was awesome! I remember going as a kid. I’m sure he will enjoy it while he’s there.

What’s the matter with you?! He’s only 5! It’s has nothing to do with being ungrateful! It has to with, he’d rather see animals! Sometimes we expect to much from our children.

He’s 5 years old. Geez. You act like he’s grown🤦‍♂️

He’s right though. I like surprises with animals too :joy:
