How do you wash baby toys that have the battery operated music box inside that does not come out?
Clorox wipe then a baby wipe
Q tip and rubbing alcohol.
Just wipe them with a rag that’s damp with bleach water. This is what we do with toys that are too big to dunk or battery operated toys in my preschool classroom.
If it’s a hard toy, Clorox wipe. If it’s a soft toy, clorox aerosol spray.
Hot water with vinegar and baking soda scrubbing it with a wash cloth. Then letting it dry. Once dry the vinegar smell will go away
Hot water, white vinegar, and a rag. If something needs a spot clean after the vinegar I use baking soda paste.
When it finally comes to the ‘wash it or throw it out because it is not uable now anyway’ point - as so many do - I have finally just thrown them in the washer, air dried, and hoped for the best. Sometimes they no longer make noise but the kids still like them. But a couple of times I have been surprised to find that they still work. Good luck, that one is always s tough call.
