Does anyone know how to tell if a 2 year old has an ear infection? And how to treat it? He just seen a doctor yesterday, he has a cold. He hasn’t been messing with his ear at all until the last hour, now he won’t leave it alone. I’m not real sure how to tell if it’s an ear infection or if it’s just itchy or something. Any advice is welcome! I’m at a loss here, I’ve never had to deal with an ear infection or anything close to it.

Playing with the ear is sign of an ear infection I would watch him for a little while if he keeps doing it or gets fussy I would call the Dr back
