To those of you that have really clean houses… how do you do it?
I don’t feel qualified to answer this question lol but i will suggest a fb page called Organized Chaos. She gives some good tips to help stay on top of things daily.
I clean every Day… I sweep everyday, make beds, clean up the kitchen and I dust every Day… my husband usually does the dishes… I clean my bathroom once a week and I put things back where they go after I use them…I have my 7 yr old clean baseboards. its a lifestyle.
I also don’t hoard things and I hate clutter. I don’t over buy anything.
A set schedule:
Morning chores are clean cat box, make bed, feed animals, turn on grow lights, sweep
After dinner is dishes and wipe down kitchen surfaces, fold laundry, clean dining table, vacuum floor and rugs, wipe down the bathroom, feed animals
Before bed plants are misted and grow lights are turned off, and anything out of spot is tidied so I wake up to a clean house
Every Tuesday is a deep clean, I do laundry as it’s created so it never piles up, everyone in the house is expected to pitch in, and “put it away not down” is vital. Everyone cleans their own dishes during the day, dinner dishes are all that’s done in the evening.
And while I have a lot of stuff (I have witch shop decor so there’s books, candles, and stuff everywhere) there’s no clutter. Everything has a place and nothing is brought in without having a plan for it.
Other than Tuesday I only spend about 30 minutes of my day cleaning. Tuesday takes about 3 hrs with everyone helping out.
Create a cleaning schedule that works for you. Donate, give away or sell things you no longer want or use. Teach kids to put away toys etc, after they finish playing. Clean as you cook. Do a load of laundry daily. Once you get your house the way you want it, it’s pretty easy to maintain.
Take 15 min before going to bed and straighten up - it helps to wake up to a clean house. I also plan my meals every Sunday……main dish, sides and dessert. It makes life so much easier…!
Everything has a place and everything gets put back straight away in that place. And wake up to no dishes decluttered home…
