How will I know when my baby is ready for a toddler bed? what age do they normally change beds??
I switched to toddler beds around 2 1/2. But I’m also under 5ft tall and it was just easier for me not to have to lean into the crib to pick them up. My kids did ok with it at that age. I guess it just comes down to personal preference as to when you want to ditch the crib.

As soon as they start climbing up to get out of the crib
For mine it was more when I was ready. My oldest should’ve been in a bed months before I switched him. He was climbing out. My second never slept in her crib. My ex wouldn’t allow it & forced me to co-sleep. She was 3 & my youngest was 19 months when we moved from a 2br to a 4br so they both got beds then. I never did the toddler bed thing. To me it’s just one more thing to buy & transition them to. They all went straight to twin sized beds. My youngest didn’t have a frame because my overbearing friend said he shouldn’t have it. In reality he could’ve handled it.
When they start jumping up and down or can climb out. Our cot bed was a convertible one and we honestly just knew it was time! Probably around 2 for us.
