How do you make a homemade fly trap?

Can some of yall lovely mommas tell me how I can make a homemade fly trap ? I have vinegar, ( not apple cider ) soap and sugar isn’t it some kind of concoction like that lol

Jar with a cut up hot dog and maple syrup to cover the hotdog. Drill holes in the lid. Jar literally filled up to the top with flies sitting on the back porch!

I’ve found a splash of a cheap sweet wine in a small jar (reisling or moscato) works wonders.

Vinegar and dish soap preferably dawn but any dish soap works

Fill a mason jar with apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish liquid.
Tightly place plastic wrap opening of the jar, and secure it with a rubber band. Then poke a bunch of little holes in the plastic wrap.
Not sure what kind of flies you’re looking to catch but this works for fruit flies.
