Hi my son is 11 months and is on breast milk only.i try to pump out the milk and give it to him but he refuse to drink the milk.he drinks water, juice shakes(not too icey) ect but refuse to drink the formula.now he breastfeeds through the entire night(I fall asleep with him in my bed sometimes).i tried giving him lala milk(warm) but he refuse it also… I’ve tried giving him cerelac(wheat, rice),Enfamil and our local milk…he refuses them all…with him breastfeeding so much I get weak and tired that I want to sleep more during the day.
What other milk should I try or what else can I do to get him to let go of the breast little by little?
Thanks in advance
Get sippy cup and give him regular milk ,hes old enough to not need bottle and can stop formula. My grandson loved it.
He probably isnt gonna take it from you when he could nurse … let someone else give it to him when your not right there
Just stop he’ll get used 2 it
You just gotta stop cold turkey. It might be hard but he’ll get used to it.
Feed him food regular food
let him get hungry he’ll eat when he is hungry
My lg is 13 month old and still being breastfed hes obviously not ready to come off the breast i know its tiring for yourself but we do whats right for our babies
I would buy an inexpensive hand pump and mix your breastmilk with real milk to ween him off.
I heard rubbing vinegar on your nipples helps them wean
Put honey on the teet of the bottle.
My daughter absolutely refused milk when she turned one so i tried organic whole milk and she loved it!
Feed more food before bed. Just not right before. Try almond milk
Now , this way almost 40byears ago.
My son did take any formula well.
It upset his stomach. So , my Aunt start him on Carnation evaporated milk, Kyro syrup and water.
One can of milk,
sweeten to taste with the Kyro syrup and water.
Warm or cold he loved it. And his doctor gave him vitamin supplements.
I have always been told that babies shouldn’t have anything but breastmilk or formula to drink until they are one. Then water and regular milk can be added. Your baby may just be used to the fruity juice now and other things your giving them now. I know that when my freaking parents started putting mio fit into my daughters water bottle she no longer wants to drink regular water…
Nothing just breastfeed babies know what they need give it to him.
Get your nutrition and hydration up and take a good vitamin and rest when you can.
Try putting warm breast milk in a more natural looking bottle, with a wider neck and shorter nipple, lay him in bed with you when you start this and just refuse the breast itself. Once he gets hungry enough he’ll take the bottle, but it’s going to be a struggle at first, and you have to be firm. If you keep giving in, he’ll catch on to the pattern and just wait it out till you give in. Try this just at night when hes more tired and more succeptable to giving in to absolute hunger. You can still breast feed during the day as you start to transition, but dont give in at night. You have to have a starting point where he knows he’s not going to get your breast. At the end of the day it’s the milk he needs not the breast itself and he will make that connection with time.
Advent bottles are like natural texture n put liquids in there wean off breast ?
My baby was the same way and I put her on some goat milk and she loved it
Give that baby some food. At 11 months my kids were eating everything I did, just smaller. Don’t give the option of breastmilk so often, he’ll adjust. He won’t starve himself.
DO NOT LET THE BABY GO HUNGRY. U need to up your calorie intake if u are feeling weak
Yeah I personally would give baby food ect. My son started baby food at 5 months (met all the milestones set by his doctor) but hated purées by the time he was 8months. I wound up just cutting up whatever I was eating very small and that’s what he’s been having from then on. He also breast fed up to 14 months, he won’t have anything to do with straight milk now so we do lots of cheeses to keep his dairy intake up
Basically time to just cut him off then. If he’s on solids for 3 meals he doesn’t need it
Might be lactose intolerant
FOOD, Your kid is HUNGRY!
Put applesauce in the bottle
He shouldn’t be drinking water at 11 months
