How do you wash your kids hair?

Put them in small pump bottles so you can figure out how much she needs. Maybe 1-2 pumps. Easier than a large pour bottle where it’s easy to pour too much with smaller hands. Watch her wash it the first few times. Encourage her to use her fingertips to get in her scalp real well and show her how to rinse it. Showering with her could make it easier. Sit at the bottom and show her how you do yours and let her copy you.

Every age is different. My 5 year old daughter with mod length hair does it herself pretty much but my 7 year old boy still needs help so it really just depends

My 7 year old daughter washes her body and hair herself and then calls me in at the end to double check she got everything out of her hair but I only do that because she has extreme eczema even on her scalp so it’s very important that it’s all washed out

My daughter is 7 and has really long hair. I started teaching her at age 4 how to wash her own hair as she goes to her dad’s house and he doesn’t care how/if she is clean. She does great 95% of the time. It just takes patience for moms to teach the kids and for moms to realize that kids aren’t going to do it perfectly all the time.

Sink wash… she lays on the counter and we wash it in the sink like at the salon lol

Oh. And a sprayer is a good thing to have, if in the tub she can use the shower one, I always unplugged the tub while the shower head was being used

No, at her age, she should be supervised
My daughter is 7 year old
I let her do it at first and then I go over it to make sure it’s all out of her hair

I help my kiddos. Just lean on the shower. Help and they do the rest

Use a tearless 2 in 1
Stand outside the shower and give her as much as you think she will need give her a few minutes for washing and check to see how full of suds it is before she rinses. When I was a kid I had hair down to my butt n used Johnson’s baby shampoo. My mom didn’t help me at 6

Keep assisting her when she washes her hair and continue to explain what you are doing as you wash and have her hands follow yours. Kids are pretty bright if given the opportunity. They love learning as long as someone is teaching them. I had long hair growing up and I loved it so I wanted to take care of it and my mom helped me learn how to do just that.

My daughter is 6 and has curly hair down to her butt; I’ve allowed her once, it didn’t go well, the conditioner was still in there, she made rats nest knots with the shower head pressure being up too high😆 Took me a minute to rewash and fix…… I’ve been doing it since lol

My daughter is 8 I still wash her hair lay her on the counter and wash in the sink

My 8 and 10 years old daughters shower alone and wash them selves. Since age 6. ( I’ve spot checked hair til 7/8)

My daughter (7) has hair to her waist and very thick. I will typically wash her hair in the shower then she does everything else. Also we have done where I was her hair in the sink with her laying down then she uses a shower cap in the shower and she handles everything else. We can’t wash her hair every day so she loves her shower cap.

I use the shower hose thing.

You can let her wash her hair by herself while you watch and make sure she gets all of it a few times and help her along the way when she needs it. Just until she gets it’s and figures out how long it takes and how it feels when she gets it all out vs while the product is still in it.

My daughter is 4 and never had a haircut until 2 weeks ago it was such a pain to wash. She doesn’t like water getting on her head and it would always be a fight it would get tangled and rats on the top of her head no matter how i would put it. I would have to split her hair down the middle wash one side then wash the other side

I hear this a lot. I have two daughters ages 7 and 6. They both have hair to their waists. I wash their hair. They take baths because they hate showers. So I go in and wash their hair first with a cup. Then they do the rest. I’ll come back to help lotion them up and get dressed. I don’t know what the average age is for having kids bathe themselves. All I know is, my girls want me to help them so I do. Sometimes they try doing hair themselves, but they never get all of the shampoo/conditioner out. I’m not worried about making them do everything for themselves as quickly as they physically can honestly. I will help them as long as they ask me to. We only get their childhood once so I am trying to enjoy it.
