The full recovery was about 5 months.
I ate pudding, mashed taters & gravy ice cream is a must and feels good on the gums lol oh and banana baby food :yum:

My sister had her dentures screwed into her gums cuz her actual dentures were screwing up her gums so she got the procedure done… (she already had all her teeth pulled like 15yrs ago and I remember it didn’t take that long to heal.) the procedure to have her dentures screwed in… She was on a liquid diet for I think two weeks and then puree and then soft foods… the healing process for that was about two months.

I had all mine removed and immediate dentures the same day. Went back probably 3 times the first week for adjustments, stitches out, soft liner. I ate jello and pudding and mashed potatoes the first couple days. I then blended up spaghetti and meat sauce by day 3 and ate it. Slowly started eating more things I could chew (soft stuff first) Chewing took a while to get use to. Learning to talk after took practice it’s been over 2 years now and I don’t have to use any adhesives unless I plan to go out for wings :joy:

I ate the same day my top teeth were pulled and dentures put in.

I had the top all at once and immediate denture, the recovery was actually faster and easier than I expected and it was 25 years ago. I ate soft foods for the first few weeks.

For like the first week or 2 all I could have was jello, pudding, ice cream, chicken broth, and any liquid basically what they call a liquid diet. After that I was able to eat stuff like mash potatoes, just taco meat chicken/tuna sandwich, chicken basically anything soft. A was able to eat solid foods in a month I believe not going to lie I ate chicken the day I had them out about 3 hr later. They only down fall I had was I’m easy to bruise so I bruised really bad from my cheeks all the way down my chest.

Had all my tops pulled at 30. Immediate dentures that day. I was eating mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese the next day.

I had all my teeth pulled very unexpected 8 years ago, I was 30, I actually went without for just shy of a year as affording almost 2 grand seemed like alot… but saved up… it was April that happnd took a month or 2 to be able to conquere food but by mid summer ish I was eating steak off BBQ nd normal food… ur gums do harden up… so ya depends… but soup was my best friend for that bit after,

Sucked honestly had 20 pulled about a year ago 30 I couldn’t eat solids for a long time like a couple months and threw up for almost a week because of the blood but now I’m fine now though

I have fake teeth on the top of my mouth and it is sore for a few weeks. It’s hard to eat and hard to talk at first.

My husband had all his out and temporary dentures immediately. Very sore for 2 days. Done on a Friday back at his customer service job on Monday. Ate soft semi soft for a week or so, but no pain complaints. Adjusted very well to eating and talking. He does use adhesive. Eats anything.

I went down to the UofM school of dentistry in Ann arbor and I requested that I was put out and once I woke up I was very sleepy and I slept on the way home and the first 2 days I couldn’t eat I had a stitch in my mouth so tight my mouth started to hurt and it took 2 weeks for my mouth to fully heal. Once it healed I had to wait for 6 months to get dentures

I only had my tops done but honestly it wasn’t nearly as bad as people made me believe it was going to be. I had them all pulled and had my mouth stitched up and then my husband drove me straight to the denture office to pick up my new dentures. The hardest part was not being able to eat much more than anything honestly. Getting the stitches removed wasn’t as bad as I expected either.

I had all my bottoms and implants at same time in September. Took about a week for swelling and pain, but it was not unbearable. It takes time to heal. Stitches disolved in about 10 days. You are supposed to stick with soft food for 4 to 6 months. Once I got permanent ones it’s been great. It’s worth it. I will be hopefully getting tops done once bottoms are paid off.

I had all mine pulled recovery was a few months, and I still can’t eat with mine. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat with them.

I was pretty sore for a couple weeks, I think. I lived off of spaghettios, applesauce, and milk for that time.
