Hey mom’s!! So I’m 16 weeks pregnant an I have a 6 month old. I’m planning on getting my tubes tied after this baby. I’m scared. How is recovery afterwards??
I waited till my youngest was like a year and a half till i got mine tied. But it was super easy for me. I got it done on a friday and went back to work that following tuesday.
I drove myself home, laid down for a bit went to the rodeo that night, and was toooottally fine. I have an incredible Dr.
Has anyone had them tied during c section? I plan to do it when they are done delivering baby this time. I hear it’s a worse c section recovery.
Rested for a few hours afterwards then was up chasing my toddler
I had my tubes tied on April 16th and it went well
I actually had my tubes removed after my last baby, and I was fully recovered after two days of a little down time.
I had mine cut tied and burnt when my youngest was 5weeks old…I went home slept and was up chasing twin toddlers…only down fall is my periods now are beyond horrible…
Not bad at all. I did it the day after my birth, recovered from both at the same time. I recommend doing it that way
Physical Recovery was easy. Make sure you are through having children. Emotionally I was devastated and hadn’t anticipated that feeling.
Does having them tied or removed make your periods worse? I’m doing this in october during my c section. I’m terrified
Take at least a week to rest. I thought I could be right back to work Mon after having it done Fri but didn’t factor in any complications. Surgery sight & all that was good. However, they over extended my arm during surgery which over stretched a muscle & caused all kinds of pain for a while after. I’m talking wake you up in tears out of a sound sleep pain. Please give yourself extra time, then if you have any issues, you won’t feel like you HAVE to heal quicker
Tubes tied. No change in cycle. My last birth was a C-section, so tubal ligation was easy. Remove baby. Tie, cut and burn tubes. Done.
I had it done after my csection.
It wasn’t terrible.
It was more mentally an issue for me. It took me about a year to recover mentally. My body was in mourning I think.
Fine no problems had my baby at 8:25am tubes tied at 12:30 on Thurs went home on Saturday no problems
It is awesome… You dont even realize it is done
Just got mine done 4 weeks ago after my 2nd cesarean. No complaints so far!
I got my tubes tied after I had my fourth kid I could not really do anything I was in so much pain and it hurt to be laying on my side or anyting I barely got any sleep I cried that’s how much pain I was in
I had it done after my last c section. Recovery was fine.
I had my tubes removed at 10 weeks pp… I was up doing normal things in 2 days… but kept a pillow close for a week incase I needed to sneeze or cough BUT they had to go threw scar tissue in my bellybutton so that took a bit longer to heal…
It was easy peasant for me. I just took it easy
I had it done on a Friday, was driving Saturday and back at work Monday.
I had my tubes removed and was fine to do my daily things the next day. A lot easier recovery than natural or c-section.
I had my tubes removed during my last csection. It was kind of achy feeling along the sides of my abdomen for about a month but it was more just an uncomfortable ache. Nothing that Tylenol or ibuprofen couldn’t help with. Plus it was mainly just at night after being active during the day.
Easy recovery but regret it honestly
I had mine done during the c-section of my 3rd child 2 years ago. I was recovering from that so I didn’t notice any additional pain from the tubeligation. No regrets either.
