Had my drs appointment today & they did a membrane sweep. I know everyones different but just curious for those that had it done, how long after they did it did you go into labor? I’m 39wk+2d.

My dr sent me to the hospital right after.
I had 2 done, first one I lost my mucus plug and started having contractions but then went back a week later and had another and then went into labour a couple days later. I had my babe 2 days before my actual due date
it took me like 2 days
I had mine done 2 times. Then was induced and swept again…ended up with a c-section.
It sent me into false labor, never progressed after that and had to be induced.

Just be extremely prepared as of right now
My water broke two days later.
Swept Friday at 4:45 pm and my water broke Saturday at 5:22 am
I’ve had 2 children and I don’t have a clue what this is? Someone explain plz…

I had my swept 3x and I ended up overdue both times with 2 of my kids.
Almost 12 hours after the sweep I went into labor but had the baby almost 36 hrs after…
I had to have mine done like twice or three times and it worked they third time I went in that day or next day if I’m not mistaken and I was 39 weeks
I went into labor 16 hours later. But I was in labor for 20 hours and 39 minutes. I also did A LOT of walking afterwards. My water didn’t break until I was in labor for about 17 hours.
Doctor told me all 3 times to go home and make love after he stripped my membranes… within 12 hours of being stripped I went into labor…
If it’s not within 48 hours it didn’t work (at least what I was told) I had my mebranses swept went in 7am the next day for induction and got sent home that day didn’t have him til a few days after that.
Didn’t do anything for me. I did have the cervical balloon that made me go into a false labor the day I got it, and a true labor the next day.
I had mine done and went into labor later that night and had my LO that next morning
I was in labor before I left the doctors office… toughed it out til 6am the next morning. Barely made it to the hospital…had her 9am lol
I left my clinic at like 10am and my dr said “see ya tonight” I started contracting 8pm that night and went in to clinic with leaking fluid at 10 pm and was admitted. So less than 12 hours. Labor was 12 hours.
They swept mine twice it did nothing. I stayed dilated at a one
Never worked for me tried with first two kiddos
Nope… didn’t work for me.
Babies come when they are ready. Leave them alone unless they need help.

Within 24 hours with my first two babies, & got it done 3x woth my last & still had to be induced
2 days after having a membrane sweep I had my son. I had my appt that Tuesday, but 11 Thursday night my water broke, I told my dr the day of my appt I’d see him on Thursday since it was the last day he would be on call and I was the last one he delivered a baby for at our hospital before transferring to another state lol, also he was a dr I seen often as a child myself.
My water didn’t break on its own. I had 2 sweeps done. After the 2nd one I was leaking fluid the same day so they made me come back and induced me that night. My son was born the next morning.
I had to be induced because I only dialated 1cm had her on her due date!
Had a sweep done at 2pm on oct 15 2013 started having serious contractions around 6, unbearable by 9 had baby by 430am oct 16
Early the following morning.
5hrs and my son was born 
It didn’t work for me! They finally induced me at 41 weeks

My water broke that night
I was 40+3 when I had one. My waters broke next day but still didn’t have bubs till I was 40+6 as I didn’t go into labour when my waters broke but when I did I was done in an hour 20mins
Baby #2 I had 4 done lost mucus plug but didnt work all the way for me still had c section.
I had 2 membrane sweeps at 40 and 41weeks, didn’t do anything for me 
I ended up being induced.
Had one done at 39weeks exactly on a Thursday.2 days later on Saturday lost my bloody show and about a teaspoon of mucus plug every single time I pee since then. It’s now Tuesday and still just having mucus 
I have an appointment tomorrow 39w 6d we’ll see how dilated I am now. I was 3cm and 60% effaced when I had my membranes stripped
Got a sweep on a Thursday, had her that Saturday.
Had it around 2pm, started having contractions around 10am the next morning, nd had him at 11:16pm that day… The gyno didn’t even tell me he did it lol
I had it done 3 times and it never put me into labor lol. My midwife with my first child said if it’s effective it should work within 24-36 hours. I went on my own 6 days after my last sweep.
Never worked for me. Just painful and useless
Had one at 12pm. By 8pm I was having contractions which were consistent till 9am the next morning and stopped. I 2cm dilated still. Come 6pm that arvo I had 6 contractions and 6cm . She was born 12am the following morning.
Had mine done dec 30 then had her jan 2
At 40w 3d had the sweep and had her 26 hours later
1st girl I had it done at 40wks still got to 41wks waters broke and my 3rd babe I was still induced lol
What is this sweeping business. I’ve never heard of it.
I went in exactly a week later
I had it done 3 days before my due date on a Friday, went into labor Sunday & my lo was born on Monday his due date

My first this wasn’t a thing lol so I wasn’t able to have it done but My second pregnancy I had a sweep at 37 weeks… lost my plug that day…massive contractions started a week later… had him at 38 weeks. My third I had a sweep at 36 weeks and 37 weeks, it did nothing…(.i had been losing my plug since 31 weeks.)…I had a buldging bag of water…finally broke at 38&6.
I had 3 done and they didn’t do anything.
A lot of walking, swimming, sex and greasy food in a short period of time did it for me.
My water broke that same night
I had mine done and didnt do anything…was given a week to go naturally or i would have been induced which ended up being how my labor started…
The next day. I was 37 weeks 5 days with my daughter.
