I am getting induced tomorrow (I will be 40W+6) I have some colostrum that’s been in the freezer. How long can it sit out of a freezer? My plan was to bring a little ice pack and lunch box to store them in for the time being.
I’m not sure about your question but the nurses may be willing to put it in their freezer for you.
Breast milk should be used within a couple hours of being thawed. It is good in the freezer for a month
Depends. In a refrigerator it’s 24 hours at Thaw. It’s honestly the same as breastmilk guidelines. You’d look at thawed breastmilk guidelines not fresh milk. Fresh milk straight to the refrigerator is different than thawed. And I believe out of the refrigerator it’s only good for 1-2 hours.
