How long can I be dilated to a 4? My OB told me I’m technically in labor but no signs of actual labor yet.
I was stuck at 5 and had to have an emergency c section
Stayed at a 4 for almost 8 hours.
I was dilated to 3 for almost a month, had to be induced (with both kids), but by the time I went in I was about halfway there with dilation. My labors were pretty short!
I walked around for a week at 3/4
I was dilated at 3 for like a month before I was induced
Literally months. With one of my boys, I was 2cm at 33ish weeks, 4cm by 36 weeks, and still was induced.
I stayed at a 4 for weeks
I stayed at 4 for about 3 weeks.
I was 4 cm at 32 weeks to 39 weeks with #1 and 4 cm from 24 weeks to 41 weeks with #2.
I was a 5 for 2 weeks. With my 3ff. It was so painful and I literally thought I was gonna die.
It really depends on your body. Sometimes things will progress quickly from there and labour is imminent, other times…you’re not so lucky. I’ve experienced both.
Stay active, get moving, and that will likely bring on labour relatively soon!
My friend stayed a 4 for weeks she tried everything (walking, the nasty, different foods, ect) to try to move things along and it was her 5th kid and nothing helped she finally went in labor close to a month later on her own and went super fast
I was at 3-4cm for 10days with my second.
5-6cm is the magic number where they keep you
They sent my sister home at 4cm dilated. She has my niece in the bathroom floor all fine. If you feel you need stay in do make them feel like you have to leave x
Im currently 3cm and had 3 sweeps and still no labour!
I stayed at 4 almost a whole month
I was 3cm for 4m, didn’t hit 4cm until I was being induced
I was dialed to 3 for like 9 hours. In labor for about 13 hrs when I had to have an emergency c section
I just had my first a daughter last year in April. My due date was April 1st but that day came and went and I still wasn’t dilated nor did I have any other signs of labor. On April 8th at 41 weeks I was supposed to be induced but there was an emergency so they bumped it until the 11th. When they checked me on the 8th at 41 weeks I was only 1cm dilated. Luckily I was at the obgyn getting checked when baby girl started showing signs of distress so they sent me straight to L&D to get some more monitoring needless to say at 3:03 that afternoon my baby girl was born via a C section.
I was a 3-4 for about the last 3 weeks with all 4 they all came after 40 weeks.
I walked around and worked for 2 weeks dilated to a 5
I was dilated to a 4 for two weeks before I was induced with my son! And no signs of labor during that time either
I was 4 cm for 2.5 weeks.
I was dilated to a 4 for about 5 weeks before my water broke at 34.5 weeks.
I was at a 4 for like 3 weeks till I went to 5 and into labor
I stayed a 4 for two months
I was dilated 2 for a month before I went to a 3. Had contractions but not active labor. It sucked. They were about to induce me before babygirl decided to finally come on her own. Hang in there
Lucky you! A nice slow, no-pain early labor is a blessing. Just be packed and ready to go if you’re not birthing at home beacause you may get to transition with very little indication and you’ll have a short window to get to the hospital.
If this is not your first, You might not have regular labor pains, don’t wait too long!
You can be in early labor but no full on contractions for weeks
I’ll save you my horror story. I’ll just say you can be dilated for several weeks.
With my second daughter I was at 4cm from July 13 until I had her sept 17th…
