Mines in s.c and good luck. Never paid as kid was growing up and never got a penny from his taxes either. Now that my child is 21 they take 52$ a month from his check for past due and I think over 38k in arrears!
They actually only took a tiny amount of it and it says it can fake 6 months. For me it took 2 months maybe 3 I think.

Its Been 4 years for me and I’ve received maybe 7 payments received out of that. I’m owed over 24000 but I’ve also never received his taxes or the stimulus for him. My ex is good at hiding.
If he has remarried and files jointly, they hold it for 6 months in my state to give the spouse time to file and injured spouse form and get the money back 
Got the last of my back support, when my child turned 21.
Mine owes back pay and knows he does… so he just hasn’t filed taxes in the last few years. Cause he’s a “problem solver” like that 
If he never works a real job his wages won’t be garnished, he won’t file taxes therefore won’t receive any money back. He can’t claim children either. Or any of the stimulus stuff. It’s been 7 years.
Personally i don’t even want child support and even had it dropped after he was paying 1200 a month on one kid. It took less than a month to get it but this was many years ago.
Why bother? Get a job if you don’t already, make your own money and show him you don’t need him it his money 
I am in canada and it took me 8 years to get payments. 8 years and back pay is a joke. He pays an extra 20 dollars a month towards the thousands he owes
I always got last year’s taxes in Ohio when my kids were growing up.
I’m owed $45k, doubt I’ll ever see it.
