How long does it take to get pregnant after Mirena?

I haven’t had a period in almost 3 years, I was pregnant, and then breastfeeding, and then I got an IUD put in. We are ready for baby #2 so I got it removed on monday, and my period started this morning :grimacing:. My question is, how long after you got it removed did your period come back, and how long did it take you to get pregnant? We are waiting till mid September to actually start trying. I am in night school for nursing and finish in mar ch, if we wait till next month, I will be 5 months or less.

It didnt take long but it took a like 2 months or so to get my cycle back to normal. IUD made me bleed alot when I got it in and when I took it out. I took out in December. And got pregnant in june. We weren’t trying until around then. So could be earlier. That’s just when we decided to try

I got mine out June 24th last year and never got my first period as I concieved on July 23rd. My lil girl is 4months old tomorrow.

I got mine taken out December 12th started my period 2 days later and got pregnant January 4th!

I had the Mirena IUD. I don’t know which IUD you had, but I think the lack of hormones messed with me. I got my period back after a few weeks after removal and it seemed normal. I got pregnant after 3 months, but I miscarried. It took me another 9 months after the loss to conceive again and have the pregnancy be successful. The OB I went to told me that after an IUD removal it can take up to a year to conceive. They didn’t believe the removal of the IUD was a cause for my miscarriage, but they honestly had no reason as to why I miscarried and just said it happens without any reason especially when the miscarriage was so early. I was 6w when baby stopped growing. My cycle continued as normal.

It took us two weeks to get pregnant.

Had IUD removed January 22nd got my period the 24th. Found out I was pregnant middle of February. But miscarried at 5 weeks pregnant. Then got pregnant in May and now have a healthy 5 month old girl

Download “flo” app on ur phone to track ovulation and periods …I got pregnant right away using this app…I have 3 kids :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

If your period is back then you can get pregnant, it took my sister n law a month after it was removed to be pregnant

I got pregnant about 3-4 weeks after taking it out :-/

I got my nexplanon removed after no periods for 4 years (one full 3 years nexplanon, and one year on my second) on December 7. I got pregnant within weeks of removal and thought I had a period, but one week later found out i was expecting. , but I think I’m the exception not the rule. Regardless, the egg wasn’t viable and stopped growing and I lost it at 7 weeks. I had a cycle a month later, another cycle a month later, and I’m currently 16 weeks with my rainbow baby girl. Everyone’s fertility is different. Some people get pregnant right away, just trust your doctor and your body. I have a history of prior miscarriages and found out I have low progesterone which is part of why I lost mine. Again, I am the exception and not the rule. Good luck with everything!:four_leaf_clover:

Waited a month, tried for 3. With Skyla.

First baby after iud took maybe 6 months but we weren’t really trying. I didn’t think it would actually happen. I have PCS second baby after iud took a little over a year
