How long does it take to start the induction process?

For a scheduled induction how long after arriving to the hospital do they typically start the induction process? I have to be there at midnight tomorrow night and just curious as I have never had an induction before

Usually it takes a good few hours to get all settled in and get you admitted and your I.V.'s started, bloodwork and all of that. You probably won’t get pitocin going until 3 or 4am and then you labor. Get a good meal and as much rest as possible before you head into the hospital, you will need it. Congrats on your little one :slightly_smiling_face:
