How many gifts do you get your kids a piece for Christmas? We have 6 kids
whatever is financially sound.
Don’t look at other people and what they do. You do what you can do. Period.
You have six kids which can add up, so maybe you should start saving 50 bucks here and there at the begining of each year so that when Christmas hits it’s less stressful…….
We also have 6 kids and usually do 3-5 gifts… whatever we can afford that year honestly. We’ve had years with more and years with less. It does help to try to save a bit each month toward it if that is possible for you.
Don’t compare yourself to others. If you want to give them big Christmases start shopping now. Winter clothes & other seasonal items are on clearance right now. Watch toys they want for clearance. Usually stores clearance toys out in the summer or early fall to make room for Christmas items. Young children can be influenced to want or not want certain items. If you find something cheap get it then show them YouTube videos & point out commercials. They’ll end up wanting it. Black Friday sales can be good but usually not. Know the price cycle of items before. My rule is to be completely done Christmas shopping by September. After that prices get jacked up so they can lower them back down to regular price or even still higher than regular price.
To answer your question though my kids got about 10 presents each not counting stocking stuffers. Some were traditional like Christmas eve pajamas, quiet toy so I can get my bearings before the chaos, a book, something homemade. Some were multi items wrapped together.
My son’s favorite gift this year was a doll/body pillow I made from his favorite PJs he’s outgrown. The whole thing cost me about $15 in stuffing.
