How much caffeine is too much while pregnant?

I know you’re allowed roughly 200mg caffeine which it about 2 smaller cups of coffee. Well, I’m exhausted this pregnancy and trying to keep up with toddler. Has anyone ever gone slightly over their coffee intake throughout their pregnancy and been fine? Like I need two medium coffees a day

I had more than that occasionally I just sipped it slow so that I didn’t get my heart rate too high. That’s the biggest thing to watch for

I used to drink like 5 cups of coffee a day when I was pregnant

I drank mountain dew throughout my pregnancy. Like wake up in the morning and Crack one open. Multiple times a day. I never had a problem and I had a high risk pregnancy

i did every once in a while.

I drink like 3-5 cups of coffee religiously. I’ve been breastfeeding 3 kids over the last 7 years

I worked in a daycare. And we cared for a beautiful little girl who had an extra finger on each hand & extra toe on each foot. Which the mother explained to us was the effects of too much caffeine consumption during pregnancy.

I drank a 20oz+ coca cola every day with my first as it was the only thing that kept the vomiting down. With my second and third I drank Mt dew every day as well as coffee a couple times most days with my third. None of mine have any issues and can actually drink a soda and eat a candy bar right before bed and still go to bed just fine. It’s often those whom cut out caffeine completely that the children have issues with caffeine and sugar.
Now it’s been 7 years since I’ve had anything more than just a sip of soda and caffeine (other than naturally occuring in an occasional candy bar)

With my 3rd,I started to drink red bull daily(I do not recommend this at all)It’s the only thing that would keep me going on top of coffee(2 cups)

I constantly drank Diet Pepsi. Iced tea. Coffee.

I went way over and all 4 of my children are fine ,that being said / I’m not trying to give medical advice .I never gave up caffeine - it was my only vice and my Drs were aware .

My sister did probably way over and was fine
I don’t drink caffeine at all and haven’t for years so I would be worried if I ever went over it

I cut out all caffeine during my first pregnancy. Drank redbull throughout my second pregnancy. Had no caffeine during my third pregnancy. All three of my babies were born between 37-38 weeks, have autism, developmental delays, etc. Definitely wasn’t caused by the caffeine so do what you need to get through your day mama :mending_heart:

I definitely drank a massive amount of caffeine almost daily(not recommended) and my daughter(10yrs) is fine. She is excessively hyper though and has energy for days, I’ve always wondered if it was due to my caffeine intake

I only drank one cup of coffee a day and mixed it with half decaf half regular

I drank like 6-8 cans of pop a day when I was pregnant with my boys… no issues with pregnancy or them now.

I think every woman is different. But … I drank coffee all day. My two year old is fine. A little on the spazy side but what two year old boy isn’t .

When I was pregnant with my 3rd I was hospitalized, because of Preeclampsia, and they were giving me 600mg daily for headaches.
I was told as long as you’re past the 1st trimester caffeine isn’t that big of a deal
