How much did your big baby end up weighing?

Did my last growth scan yesterday (38 weeks and 4 days) I deliver this Friday via c section. My baby was about 10lbs by the scan. Just looking to see who else had a scan like this with baby being big uand how much did your baby weight?

3 out of 5 weighed over 9 lbs. with 2 of them, I got growth scans weekly, near the end and they both measured around 9lbs but were over 9lbs at birth. With my first child, we only did two ultrasound so I never knew how much she estimated to weigh before birth.

I had a growth scan at 38 wks they told me baby would be small about 6lbs, he was born 6 days later an 9lbs. Scans are so inaccurate for the weigth of baby.

At 39 weeks my son was 9lb 0.8oz

They kept telling me at every scan because I had gestational diabthat she would be over 10 lbs, she came out 6 lbs 4 oz

I have 5 child these were the weigh in order 9 lbs 4 oz, 8 lbs 15 oz, 6 lbs 2 oz she is special needs, 8 lbs 7 oz, and 11 lbs 4 oz

they said they would be around 7lbs… baby 1- 8.12… baby 2- 8.4… baby3-8.11… baby baby4-10.6… baby5-9.7…… baby6-9.5…: baby7-9.3….

By my scan with my 3rd child he was supposed to be big and he came 38 weeks and he was only 6 pounds 10 oz

My twins didn’t really tell me the weight of my kids just my babies were healthy and my last baby the high risk ob was worried because he was weighing a month behind Everytime with the ultrasounds so I had to them twice a month and nsts twice a week since 20 weeks he came 37 weeks and came 5 pounds NICU for 5 days

Said mine would be going on 11lb. He was induced 7lb 10.5 at 37+1. My gestation diabetes baby was meant be big she was 7lb 15 induced 38week currently pregnant with another gestational diabetes baby. The scans arent accurate

Mine said he would be over 9lbs and he was 7.5

Mine was 10lb 8oz. Specialist was surprised - he thought 11lb 3oz (the staff had a bet on baby’s weight). As a side bar, had a scan at 32 weeks and they said it was size of a newborn.!

My 2nd was apparently a very big baby, she was 5lb7 and they drained 12litre of amniotic fluid from my stomach. They said my 3rd was looking big, around 10lb. He was 8lb6. I wouldn’t take notice. I had growth scans with both for weeks on end, they was wrong.

My “definitely over 10lbs” at 36 weeks was 8 11. Ironically a really old midwife felt my stomach and said " Nah, it’s only around 9" during a check up a week later… And my baby was born over a week after that!

10.10 with scan one week prior reading exactly that.
Other 2 were 10.3 and 9.14

I was told my son was going to be over 9lbs, he was born at 41 weeks weighing ,9lbs 12 oz

2 of my 4 kids I was told in accurate weight estimations. Both expected to be 9-11 lbs. they were 7lbs 12 and 7lbs 13. My gestational diabetes baby was 6lbs 8. Scans and doctors are not always accurate

My daughter was 8lbs 6ozs born at 37 weeks via c section due to medical issues. My scan 3 days before she was estimated to weigh 8lbs 2ozs.

All my scans were pretty accurate for all my babies. It really just depends on how good of measurements they can get. I had a scan through day before I had my son and it was a 1oz different from birth weight. Both of my daughters were a couple ounces but were 3 days after scans

My youngest baby was born at 36 weeks and weighed 7lbs 2ozs and measured 19 inches long.

7lb 13 oz and I wasn’t induced so 40 weeks and 42 weeks 8lb. Ultra sounds were way off on all of mine.

My first was 10# 8oz born at 40 weeks and 3 days
Twins was 7#9oz and 7#7oz born at 35 weeks and 4 days and my last was 8# even born at 37 weeks
My first was always 3/4 weeks ahead… my twins was normal size for Singleton babies big to be twins and my son always measured 3/4 weeks ahead

I was told my daughter was going to be about 8 pounds 8 ounces by the scan they did while in labor, she was born 6 pounds 14 ounces.

I was told my last was going to be over 10lbs.I delivered him at 39 weeks 3 days.He weighed 6lbs 4oz.

All my kids were big and they were all via c sections. Told my first would be 6lbs, he was 8lbs 7oz. Born at 41 weeks
Second was told he’d be 8lbs. He was 9lbs 13.6oz. Born at 39 weeks 1day.
Third was told he’d be 8.5lbs. He was 9lbs 5.2oz. Born at 39 weeks 6 days.
Third was told she would be 8 maybe 9lbs. She was 9lbs 8oz. Born at 40 weeks.

I have had a 9lb 7oz, 9lb 9oz babies all arriving early. When I was pregnant with my third they were carefully monitoring baby size bc I’m only 5’4 & the other babies were big. My last scan they said baby was around 81/2 lbs. I was so excited to finally have one under 9 pounds!! Had him a couple days later & he was 10lbs 5oz! Still early.
So the growth scans can definitely be off. Haha.

I was induced at 39 weeks thanks to gestational diabetes. He started measuring bigger around 35 weeks. I was told 10 to 11 lbs. He was born weighing 9lbs 14oz

They told me at my scan that my son would be 8.5 lbs and he came out via c section at 7.9 lbs. he’s now 2.5 months old and is weighing in at 11.5 lbs. he’ll be 3 months in a week as of Wednesday. I also had gestational diabetes while pregnant with my second son. Which was a shock bc I didn’t have it with my first and I was hypoglycaemic before getting my gallbladder removed. And now I’m fine again
