How much do yall spend on your kids birthday parties ? I try to budget in every way , Walmart and Costco cake , cheap pizza , budget friendly venue etc but still spend an arm and leg! All the decor is even DIY!
Depending on their age.
When my daughter was in elementary school I used to celebrate her birthday in the school, the teachers gave me the last hour / hour and a half .
I have cake , some goodie’s and ballons .
I take her to eat at her favorite restaurant and give her some money to shop.
The dollar tree store has a birthday decorations section and Amazon has this packages for like 30 dollars that include almost for a cute and not too extravagant decoration
Usually about 400, but this year I’m going all out renting a restaurant and a DJ with alot of people. Gonna cost about 2 grand. My family needs something fun to look forward to and she really wants to dance the night away on the dance floor.

Birthday parties and celebrations in general have gotten out of hand. I wouldn’t spend that much. Ridiculous.

I have 4 kids. There is a month between each of their birthdays - 6/27, 8/1, 8/1 and 9/2.
I’ve always done milestone parties. 1st, 5th, 10th, 13th, 16th, 18th and 21st birthdays get parties with friends/families.
All the birthdays in between is me, dad and the birthday child. We set a birthday present dollar limit of $50 - which they can either take in cash or we will take them shopping to spend it - and they get dinner at a restaurant of their choice.
This saves us money and allows us to focus on just the birthday kid - except the twins who always want to do everything together.
It seems like the parents these days are just trying to outdo each other. Sad

$50-75 depending on what food we serve. The kids and I bake the cakes. They frost and decorate themselves. We only have family and a few close friends to our house or meet at the park.
I have 5 boys. This year alone on parties, we are in about 15K and I still have 2 more birthdays before the end of the year. Christmas is going to cost about 20K and Thanksgiving (We host every year) is about 5K.
How much does hot dogs, buns, chips, ice cream and cake cost? That’s what I spend. A few neighborhood kids come over after supper.
Party at the house. Maybe $100? Pizza. Chips. Pop. Homemade cake or cupcakes.
