How much television do you let your little ones watch?
My baby girl is ten months and is teething. The only thing that has calmed her down is the show Little BabyBum and Dave and Ava.
Teething toys have helped but not so much.

Mine didn’t really watch TV at that age much tbh. Even now I don’t think they watch all that often. Maybe an hour a day or so? Usually they’re busy doing other things while the TV is on too so they’re not stationary.
My 2 year old has only been at 3 hours at most my 12 year old gets couple hours during 5-9pm other than homework and dinner time and shower
My daughter watches it all the time she’s not an outside person so we try to do educational shows
Baby mesh binky things. Stuff frozen fruit or frozen yogurt cubes and let her suck on it.
Every kid is different. My 2 year old watches nickelodeon like 1 hour or so a day. An has tablet time maybe 1-2 hours a day. On tablet its mainly educational videos
I have the TV on all day but he doesn’t watch much except during quiet time before his nap he’s usually distracted by other things
I have the TV on all day but my 13 month old really only watches a show for about 20 minutes before she gets bored & runs off to play with her toys or read her books.
My daughter has always loved tv. She is now 3 months away from being 2! anyways she use to love the wiggles. YouTube has alot of their videos so if u have a game system or some way to pull up YouTube on ur tv , u should see if she likes them. They are kinda corny but their songs are catchy. Lol
Mine don watch tv at all.
They like coloring, legos. Or they play on the ride on cars.
30 mins of tablets. They clean their room and just be there hanging out.
My kids are 7,3 and 1.
My 16 month old daughter loves to watch baby shark, Heartland & criminal minds (such a combination, I know!) But other than that she doesn’t care much for TV. We put YouTube on TV and watch music videos and she dances which she seems to really enjoy. But for the teething part, I use Camilla drops, they work great!
I have the TV on all day but the kids probably only watch an average of an hour or two. they watch a few minutes then go to the playroom for an hour and hop back in to tell me netflix has stopped. Then it repeats. Tablets I do an hour after dinner.
I keep the tv on all day, but the kids will watch maybe 10mins of it at a time then run off and play with their toys. But I keep it on for them, and when my oldest knows it’s quiet time, he’ll lay on the couch and watch a movie while his other siblings are napping.
My baby watch Dave n ava n lbb from 3 months til now. We still watch them. Our tv always on. Also when she was like 15 months we started Bob the train it help her wit shapes
I’m one of the “bad” moms my tv is on all day and my 8 yr old has his “phone” (non active Wi-Fi only) anytime he’s home. Now with that being said does he just sit and watch NO. He’ll watch a while go play awhile then watch a little more back and forth. Its a very personal choice and if it works for you then let it happen who cares what others think. Sometimes as mommy we have to compromise and do things we swore we would not do and thats ok.
We use our tv more for background noise than anything. Mine are 2 and almost 4 and don’t really sit still enough to watch tv. Lol. They’ll watch an episode or two and that’s it.
Not here to mom shame at all but I just wanted to let you know that a lot of studies have shown that children who get daily exposure to tablets, tv, and phones before the age of 2 struggle with comprehension and social skills when they get older. As well as developing motor skills. You might try to limit to just a couple hours because of that. Or even less. Tying a piece of ice into a wash cloth and letting your little one chew on it might help.
My 5 month old watches his godfather play red dead redemption. And supernatural with me. Hes weird lol. My 8yr old watches TV after dinner with me, plays xbox after homework and chores on days he comes home with anxiety from school. Uses his tablet fo YouTube or game tutorials
My two-year-old has never paid attention to the TV until recently. He still doesn’t pay much attention how watch it for a little bit maybe we’ll drinking his milk the most of the time he’s running around playing with toys.
My daughter has her TV on but isn’t always watching it it’s more for the noise in the background. She loves to be outside and running. She will out run everyone lol. But it’s what you are comfy with. My 4 month old likes the colors he loves being in sister’s room too. But that’s cause she has lots of new shiny things in her room lol. I think as long as they play and run around and not sitting all day I’m fine with it. Heck my daughter is sick right now and still wont just lay and watch tv
My 2 year old might watch about 2 minutes of a show before he loses interest. An hour or two later he will watch another 2 minutes.
I did better at limiting screen time when my kids were younger … now they’re 14 and 19 so its like 28 hours a day, lol!
Frozen cloth, TV, distract with singing and. dancing put her name in the song Old Mc her name had a farm. The wheel on the bus go.round and fit her name in some where. Joel there are also herbs at Vitamin shop, GNC that can be rubbed on gums. Popcyles, anything cold you can rub on gums
If it soothes her let her relax teething is no fun for either of U
We had tv on most of day in our house. Never done my kids any harm. They are all active
I would kill for my 13 month old to watch tv. The closest i get is a video clip on the music channel. I just want to unstack the dishwasher in peace . But in saying that I would NEVER shame a mum that lets her kid watch tv for any amount of time. You got to do what you got to do.
My daughter LOVES Little Baby Bum! Recently found out that there are plush dolls of the characters so excited!
Our tv is on all day but both my kids are always doing some other activity or chasing each other around the house. I like the extra background noise.
We always have the TV on so my kids watch inbetween playing but there are alot of movies out there for learning also my 1yr old is obsessed with hotel transelvayna movies but we also do the leap frog because when my first was small heknew his abc but was having trouble recognize them so got the leap frog movies by 2 he was recognize all letters and some numbers
We never did watch TV when our kids were small. They got to see programs at their friends’ houses, and when they visited their grandparents, but at home they could watch videos if they were sick. This had several great benefits.
My 10 month old son loves to watch chu chu tv on YouTube. He’s not interested in tv that much, mainly just loves listening to the music. Teething sucks though so whatever if keeping her calm do it. My son currently has 4 teeth coming in. good luck mama
I never set limits on my kids. But they also get off and play outside on their own
