What age is appropriate to walk around the mall without a parent for 30 min.
Kidnapping is real and it can happen so fast. Human trafficking happens all the time. It’s a very scary world. Sad but true. I wouldn’t let my child walk alone period. If they have at least 1 friend with them ( or a group) then I’d say 15/16. Just my opinion
18 bc without parents they act like heathens. Doing everything under the moon so security throw em out
14/15 with an older sibling or cousin.
Our mall has a policy for no kids unsupervised under the age of 16.
We did at 12/13. With no phones, no life 360.
Most places don’t allow it under 16 without supervision.
- And only if they’re raised right. Teens who act wild shouldn’t be left unsupervised
It would really depend on the kid and their maturity level. I’d say anywhere between 14-15. But definitely not alone. And if it’s a girl, it would have to be with more than one other person. (Friend, young family member)
Go in groups safety in numbers
I was 4-5 running around the mall alone. My younger 2 are 11&12. I won’t allow them to leave the house without me. Too many scary manipulative people out there.
