We plan on getting our boys a trampoline for Christmas. I’m stuck on how to surprise them with one. We are busy all day Christmas Eve (my family’s at breakfast, candle light service at church then in law’s Christmas that night) so it would be hard to put it together that night after they went to bed in the dark
Gotta do it in the night. It’s only one night. You can do it. All us parents feel your pain. Lol
Or wrap a picture of it and put it under the tree. Then when you have time Christmas night put it together.
maybe ask inlaws to keep them so u n can take time n go home set it up or wait till they go to bed and do it tht way
Put the box outside… Santa’s elf’s were to busy to put it together
Put it together at a neighbors house for their kids just say you’re helping then move it
Make it work in the dark! Borrow lights ahead of time or turn outside lights on! It’s the only magical way!
Can you afford to pay a neighbor to help ???
Maybe after the Church service you can leave the kids at your in laws go to your house to put it together as quick as you can and then go back to your in-laws , if you can spend the night with them even better .
If not just tell the kids that Santa came a little earlier to put it together
Find a spot light and put it together at night or either make them avoid the area you are putting it in and put it up early
My mom put it together at night and made a scavenger hunt thru the house to much smaller presents that ended up leading me outside…
Definitely find a neighbor who will let you set it up at their house in advance if you can all move it once it’s set up. If not, wrap up a picture of it & set it up at your leisure.
Don’t stay up all night when you’re exhausted (and you know the kids will have you up at dawn on Christmas) trying to put it together in the cold & dark. Stay healthy and warm and take your vitamin C and zinc.
BTW, great idea and great way to keep the whole family in shape!
We found a free mini trampoline and put it up in my yard for my son a few years ago. It was pretty funny.
Make sure homeowners insurance allows it we had one and they made us take it down but it’s a great gift sorry for the Debbie downer just wouldn’t want them to get it then that happen
Honestly idk how you’d put it together during the day when your boys are home without them knowing. Is your yard so big they won’t hear or see you putting it together?
You might want to hire someone local to put it together while you’re gone. When you come home it’ll be dark, the go in the front door, straight to bed. They won’t see it. Ask around for recommendations. Maybe some single guys won’t care about it being Christmas eve. FYI it took 3 guys to put out little 10 foot trampoline together.
Ask a neighbor for help? Or pay someone to put it together while you all are away.
As your out all day couldn’t you get family maybe neighbors to put it together for a little money.
Let them help with putting it up! They would love it more….
Do it the day before Christmas eve and cover the back door with wrapping paper so they can’t see?
Let them set it up. Half the fun and very educational.
Keep it in the box wrap or no wrap and on colored paper ( red- green)write on it- to children’s names Merry Christmas. Sign it Love Santa. Tell them in a couple of days we’ll put it together. We did this on the big things.
You can also give them the box and everyone can help build it together
