I bought myself a $10 lock box from Walmart. My tips go in the top of the tray, and I have envelopes with what I’m saving up for.

Once I have that budgeted, the rest is for me to spend however I want to. And then at the beginning of the next month when my bills are due, I already have the money. And then the process repeats each month.
If I want to save for something else, it gets its own envelope.
So much easier than having it all put together at the bank. This way, I can physically see what I have.
I had to hide my shopping apps from myself put them in a folder and turned off the emails.
Secondly I wrote down our goals and what we needed to save money for and just write myself notes around the house or in my car to remind me that we have a bigger goal of what we need versus what we want
