Anyone have any advice on paternity/DNA testing? Prefer a cheap & easy way!! My current husband’s ex wife got pregnant when they were splitting and she told him the kid wasn’t his (19 years ago!). Now the kid is an adult and asking my husband for a test to see if he is their real Dad or not. The kid has no idea how to go about this and neither do we. Any advice or direction appreciated!

Ancestry, 23andme or go to your doctor and get it done.
I would get a lab test done I wouldn’t rely on home test. Your primary or his pediatrician should be able to guide you.

Call the local state child support office in his or your city or go by there, they should be able to tell you.

U can buy a DNA paternity test do it yourself at home and send it into the lab they run anywhere from 99 dollars and up. I know this because my ex-husband found out last year that he had a 29-year-old son he never knew about. and he(his son) had finally gotten a name from his mother about who his possible father was and tracked my ex-husband down, they bought a paternity test sent it into the lab and it turns out he is in fact the father.

CVS or Walgreens have home kits. If you want to go to a lab, google paternity test near me to find a local lab

23 and me. But I’m sure there are cheaper ways.
You can get an at home kit. Walmart etc
I would contact either your husband’s or the young man’s doctor. Or maybe the hospital can help you. I wouldn’t do an at home test. You just can trust things you mail away. That’s just me.
They have at home kits and you get the results in 3 to 5 business days. My coworker did one with her father

Both hubs and the kid can get a blood test done at a lab to determine paternity.
Just go to the doctor and request dna test
Ask his mother for the truth
You can buy DNA tests at Walmart, cvs, Walgreens, target. Just get one there. You do it at home and send it to a lab.

Just be aware that the once the result comes back, the mother may file for back child support. I don’t know if the court would recognize something like 23 and me. They may want one done by a doctor. But keep in mind this could get nasty for you. Of course I’d want to know too but if the mother gets wind of it…
Any lab you get blood test or UA’s in can do it. Call around to different medical labs in your area. This can sometimes be an emotion Pandora’s box.
