How to get baby to sleep through the night?

A little backstory our son whose 2.5 was always a good sleeper we moved him to a big bed last summer he did great. However the last 2 month he’s been terrible at going to bed. He won’t sleep unless I lay with him (he’s in a super mommy phase) and sometimes it takes him 2 hours to fall asleep even if I lay with him. It’s hard to do that since we have two other kids also. I’m not sure what else I can do if I leave and let him cry he will go all Night and never sleep! We didn’t change his bedtime routine at all so I’m not sure what happened! Maybe someone else has better input on how to get him to go to bed on his own again?

May be time to cut out naps…on the days my 2 year old doesn’t take a nap he falls asleep WAY faster. When he does take a nap it takes 2-3 hours for him to fall asleep.

Read to him! When you lay with him.

If just another stage.

My 2.5 year old had been like this the past few months as well but I think it’s mainly because he now has a little brother but maybe it’s just a stage idk

Cut naps, TV’s and cut any electronics off like an hour to two hours before bedtime… if that doesn’t work your gonna have to have that crappy week where he will just have to cry it out until he realizes he is not going to get his way. It sucks and it’s hard on everyone but it’s worth it.

Have a set routine. I.E. He gets to pick one or two books for you to read to him; you tuck him in; you kiss and say good night. You tell him this is how it’s going to be, and you will see him in the morning. Stick with it. He’s at that age when they start to figure out how to manipulate; not consciously, but they know what works. Stay strong. “This too shall pass”.
