How to get mold off a backpack?

I need some help. My son was gifted a backpack but I noticed the top of it and the straps have mold. I’ve tried washing it in vinegar and it didn’t help. Any other ways I can get it out!? His other backpack is currently breaking and I cannot seem to find his other bag

Dawn, baking soda & a toothbrush. Rinse, repeat as needed.

If vinegar isn’t working until you do find something that works 5 below has back packs for 5 bucks that will work in the meantime

Submerge for 30m-1h in diluted bleach, use something to keep it pressed under the waterline, then
Scrub the stains with soap or into a machine wash

Just throw it away wtf

Spray with bleach disinfectant spray until saturated and let dry outside in the sun.

Family dollar also has $5 back packs. I would also ask the school if they have an extra. Usually they do.

Awesome spray from the dollar tree is a great cleaner to try for tough stains
It won’t discolor the fabric

Throw it away and get a new one. Not safe
