I’ve heard that UV light helps. I know someone who tanned naked with the cheeks split for that purpose!
Germaloids cream is a million times better than prep H and also has a numbing agent
Are you constipated? If so absolutely must be treated 1st. No straining at all. AT ALL. Incorporate lax a day into your diet, prunes, bran, quonia and drink lots of water. You can get home sitz baths which may help symptoms. Ask for referral to proctologist. That is their specialty. Good luck.
Warm baths can ease the pain and help the swelling go down. What I found that worked was watching my diet, medicated wipes like tucks brand, prep h and a warm bath. Also, it seemed like being in the sitting position too often or long aggravated the situation.
Don’t wipe with toilet paper so much. Just go wash up after the first wipe. Sitz bath with espalm salt. Try some type of miralax with stool softener. (Ask your Dr. For the amount you should take a day) use some Prep H gel. Maybe some Tucks as well. Iono just throwing ideas out there.
You may actually have IBS, it can cause sphincter spasms, making your butt hole not open all the way when pooping. It causes pretty sucky hemmerhoids.
Ask your doctor. Not random strangers on Facebook
Calmospetine ointment over the counter
25-35 g fiber a day
6 to 8 glasses water
Stool softener
No straining
Everyone has hemorrhoid tissue its when we strain or become constipated that they become bothersome. Inwork for a colon rectal surgeon.
Tucks and witch hazel I get them bad when I sit on concrete alot
I would take hemroid cream and push them back in with tucks
Hope you feel better
They are awful!! I had them for 4 months straight after I had my daughter. Stool softeners help some.
This may sound crazy, but it works! Spray with neosynepherin nasal spray. We used on a postpartum patient and the doctor didn’t have to lance the hemorrhoids.
Ask to see be referred to a proctologist. If all else fails, tell them they bleed and uv tried every possible treatment. If ur in that much pain, what, are u just supposed to live like that the rest of ur life? I know I wouldn’t. But, that being said, try one more time to do things the right way and get that referral. If ur primary refuses to give u a referral, just call a proctologist’s office on ur own.
Use cosmetic cotton pads and put witch-hazel on it and dab the area. Once done put the pad in the trashcan. You can buy witch-hazel at Walgreens. It is in a clear bottle and the liquid is clear as well. Stings like hell but worth it.
Can relate best are anusal suppository but now prices for them went from $2.69. To $46.00 with Obama care as insurance refuses to cover. Makes you sad when prefer care for self but have to ask (demand) for first time in life when they go varicose
Blow dryer. Keep them dry and they shrink up faster. Try blow drying every time you use the bathroom if you can.
Not all haemorrhoid have cure,so the only remedy I is to do a lot of exercise, avoid eating a lot of protein, always drink water and don’t force yourself while using the toilet and make sure get up after passing the first stool not minding if you’re still pressed, don’t use the toilet again as for the main time.
The same problem here , Everytime im in the toilet its bleed im afraid of losing a lot of blood too
Bag balm…takes a couple of weeks… they rupture and then heal… no more problems in that area
Prevent or treat? Your diet may be causing them. Lack of fiber or lack of water or both. Or a food intolerance.
It works for me all the time VICKS or Witch Hazel
I’ve had a bunch of nurses say put powdered sugar on it and it will go away. Nurse trick
Ice packs between your cheeks hemorrhoid suppository and cream my wife suffered badly with these and she doesn’t recommend surgery
I’ve heard they never go away once you get them. You need to keep the area as dry as possible and CLEAN. Using an antibacterial soap also helps.
My ob suggests to use ice packs on them.
Tucks pads in the freezer helps!
Are you able to get them banded? This is not a surgical procedure and can actually be done at your doctor’s office. They insert a tiny rubber band and tie them off. They will die and fall off (out) in about a week.
If they are out side you must push them back inside and put humroaid cream on them they will quite hurting
Suppositories help a ton
Go see Gastrointestinal and get colonoscopy. They will remove them then.
Ask your doctor for Proctofoam, works very well. I have the same issue, my son is 8 and I get occasional flare ups. I try to always have some of this on hand just in case.
There are some lidocaine wipes for hemorrhoids in walgreens and they sell it in walmart too! They are life savers!
My dr prescribed some hydrocortisone cream for me. Worked better than the prep H stuff.
Mine developed during my pregnancy years ago too. I get flare ups occasionally and the cream works.
Sugar on a cotton ball
Witch hazel, high fiber diet (to help with complete bms and less straining) and you can always try fasting. I did adf (alternate day fasting) after my last and it helped tremendously!!
If you get the witch hazel pads keep them in the fridge. That always felt nice to me. My baby wasn’t even big (6lbs 7oz) it was just because he was low why I got them. I was told they’d go away and most did. Then my 5th baby I got them bad again. That baby was only 5lbs 10oz at birth. I definitely understand and was told why they dont like to remove them is because they can only do a surface removal. There’s still more hemmoroid underneath which means there’s a 90% chance it’s just going to come back. And it’s painful putting a rubber band on it until it falls off. That’s what i was told anyway.
I know it sounds crazy, but my chiropractor popped bones in my ankles and I stopped having them!
They sell. Hemorrhoid cream at the store it works great!!
I’m in NC and the dr. can band them
after going to the toilet and you wiped, put water and witch hazel in an sprayer and wash your behind and dab with a clean towel… if they are out you have to put them back in, air out your behind well before putting pants on. remember that wiping with toilet paper aggravetes it more. eat light.
I had mine removed after getting them from pregnancy. Proctologist put a small rubber band on them and they fell off on there own. Easy and simple.
They gave me dermoplast spray when I had my baby and got one! It’s lidocaine in a spray, completely numbs everything, I was stitched and couldn’t even tell lol.
My 81 year old mother swears on Witch Hazel. Put some on a cotton ball and dab on
I heard putting sugar on them shrinks them
I literally JUST got mine done. Just tell them they hurt bleed and whatever else. They don’t know anyways. Mine didn’t bother me but I needed surgery so I said they did and bam covered.
Sugar! And warm compress!
Happened to me. Soak 30 min in epsom salt water as hot as u can handle. Then 2 hrs later soak a soft cloth in hot epoms water and lay down 30 min with the cloth between your legs. I had to work fast food while this happened to me and it went on for a month almost. I tried different things but it got so bad it would bleed and cause bad pain. The day after I did the epsom salt thing they were gone. Vanished. I promise do this and it will work.
I had to have mine surgically removed…
I used the hemorrhoid suppositories because they worked better than the wipes or creams. With another pregnancy I had to get them surgically removed because they were so big and causing me so much pain. They were thrombosed hemorrhoids though that time and were so bad I was crying when I went to the hospital. I couldn’t even sit. This pregnancy I’ve been using the suppositories and haven’t had them get that bad thank god.
I got them when I was pregnant also. They went away within a month. I used tucks wipes throughout the day. I used preparation H suppositories (yeah it sucks) and used the cream on the outside. The doctor told me I’d have them for life but they were gone within a month.
Find a different doctor and tell them you are in serious pain.
Aloe, from the plant. Baths and prop your feet up on a step stool to relief pressure well you are on the toilet.
Life changer!
Tucks witch hazel hemorrhoids wipes
My OB gave me hydrocortisone suppositories. I can put one in and it will be much smaller by morning.
Ice packs if u want them to shrink natural…witch hazel on gauze pads .
The Preparation H cream should shrink them overtime if you use it regularly that’s what I did when I got them during my second pregnancy
The only thing that helped me was ice cubes
I developed a massive one from vomiting (I have cyclic vomiting syndrome) and ended up going on a suppository of steroids. Took care of it in a hurry.
I like prep H wipes much better. Leave it on them for as long as possible.
Milk of magnesia on a cotton ball or pad. They helped me, I know it sounds crazy
All so prep H suppositories
Outside of surgery I’d recommend physical therapy. Specifically for your pelvic floor. Here in IA they have a company who specializes in all things down there therapy.
I wish you lived closer to Portland Oregon…the Sandy Rectal and Hemorrhoid Clinic does a wonderful job. Uses an electric current. Like a rasin the hemmorrhoid just shrivel up. He even reaches up the rectum a bit…and says he has caught rectal bowel cancers…No pain no bleeding…just a bit of a tingle…
Tucks! They are witch hazel pads that you tuck right between your cheeks! They work wonders!
My gastro dr gave me a prescription cream for mine (I have ibs & 2 children). Also, put a tucks pad on it & leave between your cheeks for a little while. Do that periodically & it helps significantly
Apple cider vinegar… dab with a cotton ball… it’ll burn for a few seconds. 2-3x day till gone
Sugar mixed with Vaseline. I promise it works!! I get 3rd degree hemorrhoids and that’s the only thing that helps!!
If they’re external, def find another dr who will sign off on them being removed!
Prescription steroid cream
I think I would be telling the doctor they are bleeding and that nothing they are prescribing is working so they fix them for you. That’s ridiculous.
Witch hazel!!! Try it!! It worked for me when I got them during pregnancy and after delivery. Worked better than anything else!
There are better products out there Prep H is no good also try a new Doctor if you can.
Someone I know swears by Vicks vaporub.
Walmart has wipes equate brand work pretty good
They won’t operate on them here anymore. I have ask many times because mine are so large on the inside and outside. Only option they gave was to band them and wait for them to fall off. That sounds like many days of pain so I opted out. Mine bleed in a regular bases. I am far from ever having to strain due to malabsorption syndrome. They just don’t go away or shrink. Plus they are just embarrassing to me
I had to have hemorrhoid surgery bc I kept getting them so bad. But I would always soak a rag in witch hazel and put it between ur butt cheak. I would also stand up in the shower with hot water only and bend over.
I know it’s the worse pain I have ever been In I had 9 rubber band and 6 cut I was always in pain
This is kinda rough but will give you relief…wet a wash rag, put in freezer for a few minutes( don’t let it freeze) put rag on hemorrhoids for a few minutes at a time…
I went about crazy when pregnant with hemorrhoids… now if I stress out I can get them… I buy the tuck pads that are moist and just stick them in my butt cheeks for the whole day and night… if the hemorrhoids are moist they are less iritated I promise… its uncomfortable and weird but it works also lay on back when sleeping…
Could they do banding? I’m in the process of doing that with mine.
Well I got desperate, I took peroxcide some baking soda water. Put in a new clean spray bottle. Every time I go I clean with this solution. Big time help
You can have them removed by a Dr with rubberbands, in and out, very little pain
Witch hazel extract on cotton pads , soak and tuck between cheeks, helps soo much! Keep witch hazel in fridge for extra cooling comfort effect
I suffer from PCOS and had them. Once I got my hormones managed I no longer got flair ups. Maybe have your hormones checked. Good luck!
I feel you. I have the same problem and my doctor prescribed me with proctosedyl.
Soak in the tub with Epsom salt’s. Works every time. I used to have flair ups many years after my kids were born, so bad I would have to leave work and go home to soak. Back at work next day.
I have same problem diet very important and I take a stool softener every night. My doctor prescribed hydrocortisone cream 2.5% works really good heals and takes away the burning. Hope this helps
Second opinion. Best same day surgery i ever had
Tucks pads are great. Their cooling and helps shrink them
I have to agree with Witch Hazel…dampen a cotton cloth and leave it on for awhile, it works, it gives relief. I also tuck them back in lol
The creams do help but very natural way to shrink them away is to soak ur self in warm to touch water with apple sider viniger and strong some salts take some Tym out and soak in the tub it should take the uncomfortable pain away I also had asv in a glass of warm water every morning and glad to say it never came back
The most important thing is to avoid constipation. Taking stool softeners also helps. I take two stool softeners twice daily. Standing a lot makes them worse too. Ibuprofen helps with swelling, inflammation and pain. Get your doctor to write you a prescription for hemorrhoid cream with hydrocortisone and be sure to use it regularly. Also avoid wearing pants/jeans that are tight in that area. I speak from experience because I’ve had them since my first pregnancy which was over 40 years ago.
I used tucks cream and the wipes. I also used regular Walmart brand stool softeners and it worked amazing. I did also have to avoid certain foods
Rexall Anti Itch Cream bought at Dollar General put a little bit on problem area with cream and put your finger up slide around, it will hurt a little bit but stops the pain. The cream says temporarily relieves external anal .
Freeze fresh aloe, the white gel stuff in the center of the aloe leaves, peel from the green part. Cut into small 1 inch pieces. Freeze and apply a frozen piece like a suppository. Good luck and sorry for your discomforts.
This will sounds strange works for me. I got these with my pregnancies and they flare up currently periodically and my dad got them and he used listerine or an off brand mouthwash. Just cup some in your hand and splash some in the area. It will burn. Don’t wipe it off and do it each day until the discomfort gone. It usually takes me a couple days. Right before bed is best.
I had mine removed by putting rubber bands around them , we’ll yes the Doctor did it and in short time they fell off.
