How to get rid of stretch marks?

Fan Question
KarenšŸ“

So Iā€™m a new to be mom only 20 . An obviously knew Iā€™d be stretching . Iā€™m just a little curious on it . Iā€™m only getting stretch marks under my stomach and a lot of them rather on the sides . Iā€™m 26 weeks along .

Also I know it takes quite a bit for your stomach to go down due to your uterus has any mamas put on a waist trainer after ?? And about how long until you seen the stretch marks lighten ?

Thanks you for all answers

Iā€™ve heard that stretch marks are genetic? Im 6 months with my second and i havenā€™t had stretch marks with either pregnancy. I would invest in something like mederma if i did get them.

Definitely moisturize from the inside out. Meaning drink tons of water AND use Bio Oil morning and night. But nothing helps skin elasticity more than being hydrated. As fair as a postpartum belly band, the Mama Strut is amazing. I shrunk down so quickly with it.

Iā€™m 30 weeks pregnant and no stretch marks. Ive been using vitamin E oil all over my belly, sides, boobs, and thighs!

Coco butter for the bellyā€™s really does reduce stretch marks and often you donā€™t get themā€¦ I did you a waist trainer for a year after I had my son Iā€™m not completely flat but you can definitely see the difference in shaping your waist and holding everything in place and even the help is provided in your back while carrying around baby also helps with your body to use itā€™s own fat for developing beastmilk

i got all my stretch marks 28 weeks on, not one before that. my babygirl is now 7 1/2 months & they have lightened a tad, but i can def still feel them. high waisted everything lol

Lots of water and moisturize the belly to prevent them. I wore a support garment after each delivery it helped so muchā€¦ but I dont think a waist trainer is a proper support garment. Talk to your doctor

It works defining gel almost got rid of my HORRIBLE ones after 3 children and losing 153lbs fast !!
That stuff is liquid gold !

Cocoa butter all day. My skin didnā€™t stretch well and even with using moisturizer every day I still got them. And they look like they did when I got them (my kids are 11 & 15). But they are big, not the little squiggly kind. I didnā€™t get as many as some do but I did get larger, deeper ones. Itā€™s all dependent on your skinā€™s elasticity. But using cocoa butter still minimizes them.

Iā€™ve never gotten stretch marks with any of my pregnancies. Drink lots of water and cocoa butter in the morning and at night before bed. Then again with this pregnancy I think I might end up getting stretch marks cause my skin is stretching too quick to early. So Iā€™ve already invested in mederma. Letā€™s see how it goes. As far as the waist trainer I used something similar after each birth just not till 2 weeks after since I have gotten csection.

I only have stretch marks around my belly button and next to a scar that I have on the right side of my stomach due to my appendix being removedā€¦ Bio oil helpsšŸ˜‡

I didnā€™t get stretch marks until my second pregnancy, and it was later in the third trimester. I put momma bee (Burtā€™s bee lotion) on my belly every night before giving birth, and then put stretch make cream on every day afterwards for I cannot remember how long. They will eventually lighten to skin color, and lose the ugly blue/purple look but I swear that change doesnā€™t happen fast enough

Iā€™m 35 weeks and I still donā€™t have stretch marks but I use cocoa butter just Incase.

They have post partum binders on amazon you can buy. It definitely helps.

Cocoa butter bio oil and there was another stretch mark cream but I totally forgot the name. Iā€™ve heard some people use coconut oil

Lotion really helps with limiting stretch marks, but I also used Neosporin cream (not ointment) on mine after my first and most were almost non existent after a couple weeks PP. Oils will help too. Keep your skin ultra moisturized, cocoa butter was my go to and I put it on after every shower and before bed every night.

I never had noticable stretch marks until my 3rd and 4th pregnancy

While youā€™re pregnant try to make sure that you eat as healthy as you possibly can. That means no junk if you can avoid it. Make sure you hydrate with water and in most cases you probably wonā€™t need a waist trainer and your stretch marks will fade within a year.

Do not use a waist trainer until you are fully healed. 6 weeks or more after giving birth. Your insides are all jacked up and you have a huge whole inside your body where your placenta was. And you can get stretch marks every where not just your stomach.

Iā€™ve had two kids and zero stretch marks. Make sure to stay hydrated, put lotions with vitamin E on your belly, and If you can help it donā€™t gain weight super fast. Ive also heard your genetics can have something to do with them too.

I never had any. I used coconut oil on areas that were known to have stretch marks. Thighs, stomach, breasts, etc. Idk if it helped with me not getting any or not, but Iā€™ve been told by others it helped theirs during and after pregnancy

I seen this thing about breast milk lightening them up a lot!!

I drank tons of water and milk and used cocoa butter ALL day. I have some inside my thighs but thatā€™s about it.
Everybody is diff and it can take a few months to years for them to lighten.
They make lotions and creams to help prevent and lighten stretch marks.

Nothing worked for me! Almost 7 years&3years with both kids and still have them! Tbh I donā€™t mind them Now!

I am 9 months post partum with my 4th. My stomach is officially looking more normal. Stretch marks have softened up and skin is smoother.

I lost the weight right after having my first but I got stretch marks on my hips, but after having my son I lost my stomach so fast it was saggy and I cried but two weeks later it was back to normal.

Use medermas stretch mark cream after you give birth, it will take the color out and minimize a lot. Bio oil is awesome stuff during pregnancy use 3 times a day

Took about a year and my stretch marks lightened a lot. They will.never go away though.
