Has anyone gained more weight after being pregnant? I feel disgusting I’ve gained more weight in the 5 months after giving birth than I did my whole pregnancy, any tips on loosing weight?
it could be that your hormones are still out of whack… I would definitely talk to your dr
Have any of you ever tried Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar with “the mother” ? I drank it mixed with 8oz water, 1 TBS honey & 2 TBS ACV and I drank it once I woke up, and 15 mins before every meal and once before bed. It is awful tasting so I plug my nose and chug it and chase it with a drink if “naked juice smoothies” (they have a variety of flavors. I like green machine best) and it hides the gross after taste from the ACV / I also cut back on cokes and snack foods and I lost 11lbs in a month and the acv is beneficial for weight loss and tons of other stuff like bloating and acne and regulatiting blood sugar and acid reflux! It isn’t for everyone but it does work if u work with it and stay dedicated. And also try to stay away from fast food. Idk where u are located but if u ever crave a fast food place like burger and fries IN-N-OUT is a much helthier choice. Their fries are freshly cut and u can order your buger “protein style” which means it will have a lettuce wrapped around it instead of the bread bun. And any exercise is better than no excecise! Also getting a good nights sleep!
Me. I was 120 prior and after birth I was 187. 6 months later I’m up to 215. I haven’t been able to lose any of it. A blood test for a medication I’m on showed my thyroid is suppressed. I’m currently waiting on a referral to speak to a dietician on healthier eating habits and after we speak to the dietician my husband and I will be joining a gym together. He’s into fitness because he’s military and needs to maintain a certain fitness level and he will be coaching me.
I gained weight while breast feeding lol I thought it makes you lose weight all it did was increase my damn appetite!
I sure did…gained an extra 20lbs…now im on the paleo diet and down 7lbs so far.
I gained 30 lbs 1 month i stopped breastfeeding 5 years ago and still having a hard time taking it off.
I gained weight after birth of children due to do several reasons. The best advice I can give is to stay away from all these supplements as most work off of increasing your heart rate making your body think its in a state of exercise boosting/speeding up metabolism. However it hurts your heart in the long run because of the stress of continual increase with no rest it thickens the heart walls.
The only safe way to lose weight is by positive life style changes. Calories in verses calories out. Decrease caloric intake and increase exercise and calories burned. However make sure you’re eating enough calories 1200-1500 usually otherwise you can put your body into starvation mode there by causing it to actually retain all calories ingested and not lose weight. You can boost metabolism by decreasing carb intake and increasing lean protien. An adjusted keto style diet. Increase water and cut down or out soda and caffeine. Proper water amount is .5 to 1 oz per pound of body weight or 100-120oz daily at least.
Always remember that you’ll have down days and thats ok.
I initially lost weight…I was 220 when gave birth to my last child and now am 185…however that is where I’m stuck at… been a year since I gave birth. This is my fourth child and I’m having the hardest time losing the weight
Get my plate app watch your calorie intake. A simple sandwich and chips can be up to 800 cals depending on the ingredients. Watch your macros (carbs, protein, fats.) People tend to go well over their daily recommended calories on accident sometimes. If you eat three meals a day at 800 cals that’s 2,400 calories where even on packaging it says “based on 2,000 calorie diet” Some meals even are in the 1,000s range.
I am 20 pounds heavier than I was the day before I gave birth to my daughter (my youngest)
Are you breastfeeding?! There is a chance you gain from that because you’re intaking more calories.
