At that age we just put the potty in the living room, so he could get used to seeing it and sitting on it when he wanted. It took us another year before he was using it though. I don’t know any quick ways unfortunately.
My boy started at about 18 months and finished at 24. He wore diapers, and then I switched him to plastic underwear over regular underwear. He hated being wet. I went back to pullups for 1 week and he trained himself as he didnt like those either. He had 2 night time accidents and was dry during the day. every child is different. At the day care I worked at (in the 2 yr old room) if they went in the toilet, we let them blow bubbles from the bubble wand and put on “special lotion” (just any nice smelling lotion. Even the boys loved it and waited for it)!
For both of my kids I just stopped putting diapers on them during the day and dealt with the accidents until they figured it out! My son is fully potty trained but if he has a pull up on he will go in it just because he knows he can. I stopped giving drinks during sleep time. A drink of water before hand if need be. I also reminded him ever 30min to try and sit and go. Also boy have to be reminded to fully empty their bladder when doing. They have an initial let down and then they have to try to go more to get the rest out or else they’ll just end up wetting themselves 5min later. For my son pooping was his hardest battle… he did not like pooping anywhere else but home. He’s luckily over that now’

My daughter was the same so we came up with a routine and it works really good. She goes potty by herslef now and it only took her a week to get the hang of it. Let him go with you to the bathroom when you go. At night time dont give him any drinks an hour-45 min before bed. Make sure he pottys before bed. Wakw him up once during the night to potty and when he wakes up take him to go potty. During day time just let him go potty every 15 minutes
I just broke my little grandsin and i told him every hour to get on potty and i did not keep diaper on him boys seem to go more often si every hour works and brag on him when he pulls up his own pants good luck
Take him to the bathroom often. Including when you go. I’d suggest asking and taking him every 2-3 hours, or even 30 minutes or so after he’s had something to drink. Reward him. Give him a sucker, a “potty pop” if you will whenever he manages to use the potty.
My daughter refused to potty in a potty until we took her diaper off and no panties. She walked around the house bottomless. No one else was there of course. After one or two pee pee accidents on the floor, she started using her potty. It was worth it. Nothing else worked. Tried this last and she did.
I’m struggling myself. I started doing the naked booty and just have her wearing a dress. Seems to be working cause she sure does not like peeing on herself.
Good luck, I only have experience with potty training girls, and everyone with both says its very different.
