How to relactate?

my baby is 3 week and 2 days old my plan was to breast feed but I gave up on day 2 as he wouldn’t latch, sugars were going down and when I’d pump I’d get one syringe on milk. My breast are still leaking a little bit, is it too late to try again? I feel so bad about giving up & the post partum blues were so bad that it was just easier to formula feed.

No it’s not too late. Ask your doctor or call the hospital, they will get you in touch with a lactation specialist who can help you successfully breastfeed if that’s what you want!! Breastfeeding is hard, especially for new moms but at the end of the day, whatever you choose, you are still a good mom and not a failure!!

One syringe of milk at 2 days is totally normal!

Mama, fed is best. It does not matter how your baby eats so long as it does eat. You have to do what works best for you and your family. My daughter is almost 11 months old and has been formula fed since birth and she is happy and very healthy.
