How to relieve teething pain in babies?

Tips for teething baby

My son has been fussy lately and on average he’s not. He’s drooling everywhere and I can tell his mouth hurts so what’s some easy/good suggestions or ideas for a teething baby?

Teething tablets work wonders

A cool damp baby washcloth for him to chew on, froze waffles, if you breastfeed or pump use a binky and freeze some milk on it, it’s a lil milksicle…

Freeze a damp cloth for him to chew on. Teething tablets. Popsicles

I used teething tablets not all the time but when he was in bad pain other than that anything frozen. (Wash clothes, carrots, freeze breat milk or formula if hes old enough juice, their teething rings.) I was constatly swapping out frozen teething rings. I was too scared to use baby ambesol

Freeze a bottle of ice then let him chew on it until it melts

frozen wash cloths & the latest hit with my son has been putting a thick baby food (I used banana) and freezing it in those mesh teething things. he loved it more than anything else i’ve tried but it is super messy as it starts to melt so put baby in their high chair with a bib!

My daughter LOVES the Nuby banana. Sometimes, when she’s extra fussy, we put the organic, all natural, numbing gel on the banana and let her loose. This thing also brushes their teeth once they get them. My daughter hates cold things and most other teething remedies. Also, I give her the Lil Biscuits by Gerber. They are hard enough she can’t break them, and they don’t dissolve as fast as other edible teethers. We used the rice teething biscuits when she was under 6 months. (Dr. approved of course).

Frozen waffles… It works.

Frozen waffles. Built in drool cups and completely edible, with supervision of course.

Why does no one include how old the child is in these posts?

For my 5 month old we have teething tablets, teething oil (both from little remedies), a couple of teething toys (pictured is her favorite) I also dampen a baby wash cloth in nursery water and freeze it. When I was a nanny, the little boy I nannied for teethed on frozen waffles (like eggos), so if you have introduced foods that might work too. (My baby hasn’t had foods yet which is why she hasn’t gotten the waffles.)

Frozen waffles work great. They turn to mush after being chewed on and thawed some.

Wet a washcloth put in freezer, and give to baby to gum on!!

Frozen Cold Play key rings that go in freezer, wash clothes

Frozen wash cloths. Breastmilk (if you’re nursing) in a mesh feeder, or frozen strawberries or grapes if eating solids (and no known allergies)

Frozen washcloths is the best

I use these things…I smoosh a banana inside and put it in the freezer… My babies love it …

Idk if this has been suggested or not because I’m not reading through all these comments, burnout whiskey on a wet wash cloth and let baby chew on it, or on the tip of the paci if he uses one, or on the tip of your finger and let him gnaw on your finger. Basically, whiskey helps.

I love the ZoLi teethers. Google them. They’re super easy for little ones to grip, unlike a lot of the teethers - we tried several - and they have a bigger version with prongs to reach the molars for older kids (silicone straws from the freezer work just as great for the molars btw). I bought a big bag of baby items from a consignment sale and one of those was in there. It was a godsend that I didn’t even know existed before then! Teethers | ZoLi

I never got into the frozen foods because they’re a huge mess and not portable/ convenient.

Orajel has daytime and night time cooloing jel for babys teething… Also frozen wash cloths… Frozen waffles/pancakes… Vannila extract… Whiskey(dab a finger in both or bottle nipple and rub it against their gums… My son is 4months breaking 2 teeth he loves this

Motrin and empathy, keep him out of pain

Wet washcloth in the freezer always did the trick with my kiddo😁 soaks up the drool and gives them something to nibble on

Depending on the age, but I used to put frozen berries in a mesh feeder. Frozen bananas work well too. Never give frozen things that can be bitten into choking hazards. That’s why mesh feeders are amazing.

I use Motrin and just let him chew on my fingers. He uses his paci a lot more too

Wine!! (For you! :woman_shrugging:) frozen waffles, frozen toys, frozen fruits, anothing frozen is great to help.

Wink teething gel works AMAZING for us. Ice cubes or frozen fruit in a net feeder help a lot too!

Rub baby Tylenol directly on the gums. Stops the pain and you don’t have to give a full dose.

Rub guns with Vanilla extract
