How to treat gestational diabetes?

Hi! Has anyone dealt with gestational diabetes in their 16th week of pregnancy?

Yes I was diagnosed at 12 weeks with both children and was insulin dependent from 12weeks onward

Yes! Watch carbs and definitely watch sugar. Some sugar a day is okay just limit it. I switched to reduced sugar snacks, diet sodas, & I joined a keto group where they share low carb recipes. You’d be surprised how good some of the stuff is! Good luck!

It is also suggested to eat 6 smaller meals a day to give your body and babies body time to process carbs and sugars

I had it my entire pregnancy. Eating smaller meals more frequently kept me full but helped me to stay under carb/sugar goals. Things like string cheese, boiled eggs and nuts were my bffs! My son was expected to have sugar issues once born and he turned out perfectly fine!

I had it my entire pregnancy with my daughter. Organic diet, medication and exercise…helped me so much! I was induced at 36 weeks and had a healthy, happy little lady!
