I’m considering a copper IUD. Experiences? Thoughts? Pros n Cons?
contraceptives affect everybody differently, nobody elses experience is relevant
I had it for 12 years and I love it
I had it for 4 years before I removed my tubes, it caused heavier bleeding and more cramping but worked well and loved not having to use hormones since I can’t tolerate them.
You can’t ever really know how your body will respond until you try it. Everyone has such varied experiences.
For me it was excellent… very light period… no unwanted baby…
I had a great experience with mine, reduced my cramping and bleeding and no pregnancies
Mine was awful. It seems as though the rest of the majority loved it. Getting it in and out was fine but the psychological effects and the long term bleeding were a no for me
I’ve had mine for 6 years have had no issues like I did with pill & merania
I had one for over 20 years!! Greatest thing ever!
I had paragaurd for 10 years and it got progressively worse over the years. My periods way more painful, longer and heavy to the point where I had a period for 3 weeks for half of a year. I switched to skyla and my periods stopped after 3 months and the cramping is gone.
Had 1 4 a couple of years & fell pregnant with my now 12 year old .
I had the merena it fell out now pregnant. I still bled on it. All effects everyone different
Mine was terrible it was irritating and the gat piece attached gave me constant infection
Had one, gained 60 pounds and became infertile for 4 almost 5 years.
Nexplanon worked better for me, but I have the excessive bleeding from it
Honestly all BC sucks, and will affect everyone differently.
Ask your physician about the possibility of migration of the IUD. Many babies are conceived because of this problem.
