Hello mamas… I have a question/concern… I’m 6 weeks pregnant and it feels like no matter how much I eat I’m still starving not too long later like after meals and such. What are some good food ideas to keep me fuller longer? This is also my second pregnancy. I’m starving every two hours it seems like no matter what I eat and it wasn’t like that my first pregnancy
Increase your protein intake. That’s what my Dr told me when I was in this situation.
Try to stick to healthy snacks and up your protein
Fruits and veggies, salads, high protein, and also yes it can be normal, also every pregnancy is different don’t compare one to the other.
It felt like I had 24/7 munchies when I was pregnant lol. I couldn’t eat that much at a time, but I was always hungry lol
My second was also like that all through nursing also I was always starving and always eating……I lived in Italy for that one so I eat endless amounts of pasta breads and pastries mmmmm I also gained a ton of weight
At 6 weeks you should hardly feel a difference, are you taking prenatal vitamins? Your body might be lacking something and is trying to compensate. Eat more protein if possible and drink tons of water.
Lots and lots of protein and drinking lots of water. Your body is using so much energy to grow that baby. I had to have dental work done and couldn’t eat hardly anything, my body started craving eggs like crazy and I’m not an egg person but I figured it was for the lack of protein/nutrients I was getting
What are you eating? Remember to eat small portions instead of large meals. Pretzels, veggies, fruit, granola bars, popcorn, pb&j. Have a regular dinner. Make sure to include protein.
Haha wait till you are breastfeeding! That hunger is wow!
I used to eat before work. Eat my packed lunch on my break. Then grabbed lunch on my lunch break. Eat when I got home. And another snack before bed.
Don’t get me started on how much water I drank
Protein-rich foods combine with fiber; scrambled eggs and steel cut oatmeal.
Greek yogurt and fresh fruit for a snack… strive to eat as healthy as possible! A good quality prenatal vitamin would help. Take fruit and snacks with you and stay hydrated.
Before I even knew I was pregnant that happened to me. It was weird. All of a sudden I was waking up in the middle of the night hungryyy and I never did that before. Not with and of my other 3 kids either
It can be. You are growing a whole other human and with hormone changes, your body changes, especially as you get older. I’ve had 5 kids- with one of them I gained an unhealthy amount of baby weight because I was choosing terrible snacks. Be sure to keep a lot of healthy snacks on you.
Keep a L0T of healthy snacks on hand. Make a trail mix with your favorite nuts & dried fruit. Fresh fruits & veggies. Even hard candy. Try to avoid the “empty” calories. Best wishes !!
