I am pregnant and keep getting UTI's: Advice?

Speak to your doctor. I had something prescribed to me to prevent me getting any water infections because I have a duplex kidney. They may do the same for you if they keep coming back.

Talk to your doctor, also ask about azo cranberry supplement. Dont drink cranberry juice now that you have an infection. Drink more water no sugar drinks until it clears up

I had this with my first pregnancy. I ended up in hospital for a few days around 22 weeks cause it was so bad and then was all good for about a week then I basically had one every 2 weeks after that until bub was born. And same thing on antibiotics and tried everything the Dr suggested. Second pregnancy didnā€™t even get one so not too sure why I was getting them but one of the midwives suggested to also take probiotics after taking antibiotics as they also kill good bacteria in your body.

I swear by this, hady never failed me. Put a teaspoon of baking soda in a water bottle or glass of water. Shake it and drink, you donā€™t have to gulp it down. Just finish it within a reasonable time, hour or so. If itā€™s a new box of baking soda it will taste better than an opened box! The baking soda balances your pH levels. You can drink it once a day or once in morning, once before bed.

You need to pee after sex, wipe from front to back, cotton panties, no douching, no scented soaps in your pubic area, drink a lot of cranberry juice and water. Always go pee, donā€™t hold it in. Also maybe u should check to see if u have diabetes? But ask for a second opinion maybe they can figure out whatā€™s really wrong.

Are you diabetic? Sometimes high blood sugars could cause uti or yeast infections

Just a sidenote: if you do cranberry juice, make sure you get 100%, and not the cranberry juice cocktail. The sugar in it can actually encourage bacteria, so you want to make sure it has no sugar added.

Same happened to be. But by the 3rd one they assumed it was UTI and couple weeks later did test to find out it was yeast infection and NOT a UTI. Once I got treated for that it all stopped and went away.

You need to take 2-4 cranberry pills a day and drink more water.

I had to be on low dose macrobid for the last half of my pregnancy!

Your bladder might be set low, it might not be an infection, but could be cystitis. Make sure you stay hydrated. Also get your kidneys checked, could have some reflux.

I started using Raw probiotic- Vaginal probiotics off of amazon and it has worked wonders! I havenā€™t had one since :slightly_smiling_face:

Cranberry pills are great! Even 2 a day may help, as ive had the same issue and found that they work best. Also safer than continuing to take antibiotics. Take them every day, even once the infection is gone. Hope you feel better!

Sometimes it can be from holding pee in.

Did your doctor confirm that the first UTI was gone? If not it may not have went away and may need more antibiotic.

My first is 8. I didnt have any trouble with him. Im 31 weeks with my little girl and ive had multiple UTIs dr just prescribes antibiotics. Itll go away for maybe a week or 2 and come back. Its extremely common during oregnancy from what my dr says.

Sometimes antibiotics can cause utis make sure they check that your kidneys are functioning well!! I get utis from amoxicillin ! Although itā€™s not considered an allergic reaction in the books I canā€™t take it because of this! Make sure you hydrate and check if itā€™s ok to take organic cranberry supplements to support bladder health and prevent utis! Also there could
Be another underlying reason get, Another opinion demand answers ! Not all Drs do their jobs right! I pray this will pass for you soon!!!

Cranberry juice or natural cranberry pills should do the trick.

I had them real bad with my daughter too the medicine but it apparently never worked how it should. I start azo cranberry pills my Dr caddock said they are completely safe threw pregnancy. They helped a lot an I also drank a litter or two of water a day

Nothing will
Happen to your baby from a uti. Drink more water. Cranberry is not proven at all to help with them. Not ever has it been. However, water and more water and pee when your bladder is calling!!!

Sometimes the antibiotics will do that , so ask your doctor about that , Depends what they gave .

Use dial gold soap you have something on your skin because of the hormones. Dial gold every other day.

D-mannose is a life saver. You take it every day as a preventative.

Yup I had many. I stopped using soaps in that area that were harsh and I switched to 100% cotton underwear. I havenā€™t had one since. It never mattered before but it does now. Thereā€™s some bacteria that is very stubborn and so some antibiotics donā€™t exactly do the trick. I swear on my life since I switched underwear it made a difference. I didnā€™t realize how other underwear could be harmful.

The one thing I know to do naturally is to eat asparagus frequently. It heals the bladder when youhave UTIs. Best of luck to you.

My mom told me to drink lots of organic sugar free cranberry juice and water. It helped me. Might give it a try? Slow down on your sugar intake tooā€¦ try a different brand soap. Read all labels on ot too because some of them do say they have to be thoroughly rinsed or it may cause irritation and UTIā€™s.

Hat about a vaginal probiotic. Also not to use soap down there only wash with water and drink lots of fluids

Sounds like drinking more water might help, maybe have your ph checked. And possibly no sex until you finish taking antibiotics and give your body time to attempt to get on track. Body going through a lot for two.

Go to your dr get your sugar tested to make sure you donā€™t have
Gestational diabetes

Cranberry juice, water, and donā€™t hold for long when you have to pee get to a bathroom. Thatā€™s what helped me with each pregnancy.
