I am pregnant and my skin feels like it is burning...advice?

Question, second time pregnant mom here 30 Weeks pregnant and my skin feels like its burning due to stretching. Its not the inside of my stomach but the outside skin and its the upper part from belly button to under breast. Has anyone else experienced this? I apply lotion which helps for a while but didn’t find alot of articles that said others had it too. Can anyone else relate to this?

As the others said mama coco butter lotions will be a life saver! I experienced this myself recently and it’s the only thing that hydrated my skin enough to calm it :yellow_heart:

Coco butter lotion ! I got huge with my daughter and this is the only thing that helped.

Vaseline always helped me with that burning on my stomach when I was pregnant

Try a barrier cream rather than a thinner lotion. The Moogoo range is fab.

If it continues tho maybe go see your doc

Palmers Cocoa Butter. I used it constantly even til about 6 months postpartum

Pupps and it hurts I had a coworker that had it,she’s the only person I’ve ever known to have it. Call your doctor

Always talk to your doctor.

I did and I could get much relief but to use bag balm. My scars are so bad.

Girl get some oils or cocoa butter!! Lotions can actually make it burn more and doesn’t really help at all with stretch marks. (For those, I used Mederma and it worked wonders!!)

What does the doctor say?

I got vitamin e oil for my skin from Trader Joe’s and I was rubbing it on CONSTANTLY

There is a condition, of course the name is not on the top fo my brain.
Bring it up with Dr before dismissing it.

This is a question that you should DEFINITELY ask your doctor. Especially if this is your second child and it didn’t happen the first time. I know all pregnancies but it’s still better to check with a medical professional that knows your history. The doctor may be able to prescribe something safe that will help. Good luck.

Sounds like PUPPS rash! I had this with my son. It was awful

Is it just burning? Does it itch? Do you have a rash? You could be developing a PUPPP rash.

Do get it checked out to make sure it’s not a symptom of anything. And I would recommend aqueous cream with menthol in. You can buy it ready made but a nice pharmacist will make it for you for half the price or less.

Ask your OBGYN about bile acids.

Lotion was what helped me! My stomach itched all the time :sob:
