I am thinking about home school: Thoughts?

I am thinking about homeschooling my kids again. The main issue we have is the dreaded socialization problem. With my work not being done until about 3 pm, co-ops don’t seem like an option. They have contact with the few friends they have from school, but what activities can we do late weekday afternoons where they get to be around other kids and make new friends? It was such a struggle last time, but now we have the ability to go places, which we ended up not having the last year we homeschooled. I really just don’t want to let them down. Thank you.

Check local rec centers and the Y. Also, talk to your local school board and see if they can participate in activities in your district.

Can i ask why you have made that decision???

Join the YMCA or any sport.

Its a great time to do that now given the pandemic. Go for it.

Good for you, it takes sacrifices and a lot of work, but at this point it seems almost the only way to raise free thinking individuals. Park trips and if possible keep close ties to school friends. There are many FB groups for homeschooling families that have weekly filed trips or most did have them before covid. Good luck and way to go mama.
