My 3.5 year old tested positive for Flu B this morning. He sneezed on his 4 week old baby brother yesterday. I am SOOO worried the newborn is going to get sick. Has anyone gone through something similar and the newborn ended up not catching it? I exclusively breast feed too.

I had strep, covid, and a sibling tested positive for flu b all within the first month of new baby. Baby made it through all the germs just fine. I was breastfeeding as well. Just let doc know if you notice any symptoms. Any kind of fever call the doc
With you breastfeeding you have given baby a ton of antibodies! If you get sick, continue to breast feed him! You will help him thru it! Your milk will change to give him exactly what he needs. If he does show any signs like high fever or difficulty breathing, bring him to the pediatrician.
He should be fine considering you create antibodies for him. If he does get sick keep him on boob only for a few days
