I can't get my son to bed at a decent time: advice?

Hello everyone, I need some advice. So my son is 3 will be turning 4 this year. This past month he’s been having a hard time going to bed at a early time. I work overnights so my parents watch him for me. I’m not sure what I can do to help him go to bed early. He doesn’t take naps unless he’s at his head start. But he was so good going to bed a decent time but now he won’t go to bed till midnight or later.

Is your working nights and your parents watching him relatively new? It could be his schedule is off and he isn’t used to you not being there. It could also be sleep regression. There are so many things it may be. If you don’t have one already, try and get them into a nightly routine; dinner, play time, bath, book, bed. Or however you want it. Just something consistent.

My son is about to be 4 next month n he doesn’t go to bed til at least 4 cuz his dad works late n goes to work early so I keep him up just to see gis dad for a few hours. I don’t mind it cuz I stay up also to see him n spend time. It’s all on u and what u want to do

Ask what they do throughout the day. I had to have my little one physically & mentally stimulated to be worn out by bath/bed time. He might just need more activities throughout the day. Good luck!

Talk to his pcp not a bunch of wannabe Facebook :woman_health_worker:t2: doctors :woman_facepalming:t2: and ask about melatonin for children.
