I need help please!

I went through exactly the same when I was pregnant with my youngest, it floored me I was in bed 24/7 I couldn’t move, I had to be out in the bath because I couldn’t walk, I was always sleeping and wouldn’t eat for weeks I couldn’t even keep water down! Hence why I was only wee’ing once in over 24 hours! Doctors didn’t do anything tbh other than give me tablets but I couldn’t take them because I couldn’t drink and when I sipped water it came back up straight away it was the worse! And nothing helped me I had to just get on with it till it passed and it didn’t pass till like a month before I was due:disappointed::disappointed: I was all sore and aching through sitting in bed everyday all day I couldn’t look after my eldest my mum had to have her for me till her dad got home c

What did they prescribe for meds?

My 3rd was the ABSOLUTE worst. I had to take generic zofran 30 minutes before getting out of bed or I would vomit profusely. Pill form, not dissolvable.

Aw hey I’m also 17 weeks

With my first I did the same thing. Lost so much weight my first trimester. Doc prescribed me meds to take. It finally slowed down about 22 weeks and then started back again around 30 or so and I had to go back on meds. Talk to your doc bc you do not want to get dehydrated

Everyone is different so what works for one may not work for you… it’s a trial and error type thing unfortunately. But what ever it is make sure you start out with THE tiniest of tiny sips or bites good :four_leaf_clover: to you

I could only keep down unsalted crackers and steamed rice with my second. I did my best with the prenatal vitamins and iron and calcium pills, but I didn’t always keep them down since water triggered me to be sick too. I just went to the hospital if I felt I wasn’t okay, and kept trying. I was sick until I gave birth. But she was healthy, 7 lbs 5 oz.

I was sick constantly through my last pregnancy easily 20+ times a day I lost 3 stone by 10 weeks the only thing that stopped it instantly was a few puffs of weed or a small bong the sickness would pass almost instantly and last for hours and I could eat a decent amount of food in that time, yes my child is very healthy she was born 7lb 15oz

Fruit Smoothies were the ONLY thing I could keep down during my first pregnancy. Water is the worst for some reason :sweat_smile:

Coke pop keep one in your fridge at all times .as soon as your feet hit the floor in the morning run the cola and own as much as you can.you won’t throw up .I was sick like that an that’s the only thing that worked

nibbling or sucking on dry things helped a tad for me.
Plain crackers

  • “Ready to eat, Crispy Noodles” (They were stale) .
Or try nibbling on plain bread buns?
If your struggling on tap water try cold water.
Get your fruit in you! Make a fruit bowl… See how your tummy will handle that.
Sipping on hot tea? (Green tea etc.)
Frozen blueberries were great for me!

Anything is better than nothing.
I was put in I.V fluids because of dehydration which worked wonder’s.

My dr had to prescribe a medication called diclegis not sure of spelling but it helped and worked wonders because I was the exact same (nausea, vomiting)

Get you some saltine crackers put them by your bed before you get up out of bed eat a few before your feet even hit the floor. Try eating them all through the day not too mat a time

Eat a few bites at the time. Then stop and wait 30 min. Im talking like no more than 5 bites. Spread it out like that. Be sure to eat bland foods that will be kind to your stomach. It wont last forever. Good luck sweetie.

They make these bracelets called “sea bands” they helped me tremendously. They push a pressure point in your wrist that helps with nausea. And the plus side is they are a homeopathic remedy and can get them on Amazon or at Walmart in the pharmacy section. Also they sell things on Amazon that help too they are lollipops.

My friend was very sick during all her pregnancies (3) and had to take anti nausea meds, nothing else worked for her. She actually didn’t even start gaining any weight until her 3rd trimester with all of her pregnancies. Personally I rarely got any sickness after the first trimester with both my pregnancies. My babies are now 14 & 18 and back then they just said eat crackers and ginger ale :upside_down_face: good luck

Talk to your doctor about Marijuana if in a legal state. Works miracle for me with sickness

Orange skin, smell it, takes away nausea, good luck mumma.

Suck on a lemon. Sounds crazy but it truly helped me. Also small sips of ginger ale and teeny bites of saltines before you get out of bed. I remember not even being able to brush my teeth without gagging. Second trimester it was sooo much better. If you are anemic the doctor needs to consider IV hydration with meds. Also ask if you can chew Tums. It’s such a horrible feeling. Good luck!

I had a friend who the whole time pregnant threw up. By the time she had her baby she was Skinner than before. The baby grew like she was suppose to and was healthy when born. I wish you luck nothing worked for her she just had to deal with it.

It’s called HG hypermesis gravidarium I had it my entire pregnancy and I had to have meds good luck. I spent my entire pregnancy in and out of the hospital which ended at 26 weeks with twin boys that are now 27 months

I had really bad morning sickness with both of my pregnancies. With my first I chewed fennel seeds and drank ginger tea and sucked on crystalized ginger, those helped a lot. With my second those didn’t work, I asked my Dr he said try unisom and b12, that only helped a little but it helped. Each person and pregnancy is different

I took unisom, b12 and ginger root vitamins

Ask your dr about Zofran.

Fortunately…i only suffered from 6weeks preggo to abt 13 weeks …nothimg helped me either…but it came and went …aftwr tht went away …then came the heart burn …which was horrid …i still have it even after the baby …and i never had it before …go to the drs …hopefully they can help you so you dont feel like your dying every day :revolving_hearts::revolving_hearts:its rough mama

Go back to your doctor tell your doctor what they gave you does not work if they see that you keep losing weight they will become concerned and get something to help you do not give up keep after your doctor it’s a little unusual for 17 weeks to still be so extremely nauseated also try every cracker there is even Melba toast Anythink anything that comes to mind that might sound good try it

Peppermint essential oil

You might try sucking on lemon drops! During chemo it really helped my nausea! Good luck!

I had miscarried for 6 years when I finally got pregnant I craved Tampico Mexican food every single day with my first son is going to be 57 I tried for him for a long time almost miscarried him to for 6 months then when I got pregnant again which was a miracle my second son I crave Tampico Mexican food luckily enough my mother and my husband would go with me every day I had to have the taco and enchilada plate was so sorry when they close Tampico and sugar house he was such a good cook and they were always after him for one thing or another the best Mexican food I’ve ever tasted in my life what is so funny is my second son is deceased since last July 27th but my first son who’s going to be 57 still likes Mexican food and I still love Mexican food

I don’t know if anyone remembers but they had a Tampico in uptown on a little Street and then we started going up there when my kids were like in their teens and older with my girlfriend and I she’s deceased but I knew her a long time and she was my deceased sister best friend and God mother to her children she would go with me up to Tampico Uptown and we would eat Mexican food it was really really good it was such a shame when they also closed them down they lied about him everything they could to get their property I just hate that stuff when people try to take over somewhere that’s popular and really good I just hate that

Eat bananas  that’s what I did both pregnancies. It’s easy to digest and full of vitamins.

Try eating some watermelon and sipping the juice from a can of peaches. At my sickest, vomiting, (Not while pregnant) that is the only thing that helps me keep anything down.

A shot of Coca-Cola room temperature. Sounds weird but it really helped me and with 2 pregnancies I was sick through the whole thing.

I Stayed Sick The Whole Time That I Was Pregnant with my daughter the only thing I could drink that would stay down was lemonade and caffeine free pepsi …
And
As for food most if not all of it would come up at every meal …
But,
I was very lucky when it came to my prenatal vitamins the would stay down…
So that helped alot …
As for the heart burn try to stick with health home cooked foods that will help

Sounds weird but baking soda sugar and water I’d drink that then sip on slim fast
Any meal replacement drink will give you nourishment until you can eat again
Morning sickness is normally better after 4 months or so

When I was pregnant with my twins they had to put a picc line in me and I had to give myself iv zofran several times a day to be able to keep anything down.

I had a home care nurse that came once a week to change my dressing.

I was bad though, I had lost 80 lb and couldn’t keep anything down, even water.

You have hyperemesis!! I had it with all four of mine… unfortunately I just accepted it…kept hydrated… it’s all worth it…try mints or pastilles… keep your sugar up …good luck xx

I took a vitamin b12 with a unisom tablet. It’s a hack the dr showed me and it worked wonders

What medication have they tried you on? I couldn’t take phenergen because it knocked me out but Zofran really helped me. I was really sick with all 3 of my pregnancies. My oldest daughter had a lot of luck with Diclegis when she was pregnant, which you take daily to help prevent nausea rather than take when you feel nauseas like the phenergen or Zofran. Diclegis is basically Vitamin B6 and Unisom combined into one pill.
Saltines and small sips of room temp water always helped me too. I’d keep them on my night stand and eat a few crackers before even getting out of bed in the morning. Ginger also helps. They have ginger chews, ginger tea, ginger ale.

With my first it was hell. My grandma suggested keeping crackers by my bed and eating a few when I first woke up. It helped a lot.

They have these preggy pops online. They work! I used them when I was pregnant with my girls. I could actually eat and keep things down. It’s just a little hard candy and they have suckers too. Hopefully you can find them on Amazon. I got them when babies r us was still open. I recommend them to every sick pregnant woman. They really helped me alot!

You may have HG. The only thing that slightly helped was diclegis. Also string cheese and Gatorade stayed down the best but I puked the whole time until I gave birth. There wasn’t much that took it away and those pills only worked for a short period but all other things gels, bands, other meds never worked even at all.

It is safe to take gravol or anti nausea pills. Try to boil some ginger and drink it warm or hot it might help you. Eat any berries in small quantity. Take smaller quantities but often. Try some cashew nuts as well.

I learned the hard way when I was pregnant the 5th time. I was able to keep food down by eating and then waiting an hour to drink.

Try that☝🏽

I could only stomach protein shakes while pregnant. I made fresh fruit smoothies and added a scoop of protein and that’s how my 3rd baby survived :woman_shrugging:t2:. It happens sometimes. Just try and get in enough of something that’s good for the baby is all I can suggest. Of course you need to be taken care of to but sometimes it’s to stressful.

When I was pregnant with my daughter one of the only things I could eat was cucumbers with a little bit of salt it would help with my upset stomach. Or I would keep a couple crackers next to my bed to nibble on before I got up that helped too

You need to see a hematologist for your anemia they can do iron infusions

CBD GUMMIES.
I was sick both pregnancies the entire time. My doctor loved to prescribe me chemicals to deal with it so I sourced some CBD gummies on my own. I was able to get an appetite, not throw up constantly and my cramps would subside. 5mg every 4 hours  Also take maternity daily vitamins consistently, and ginger tea helps at bedtime. That will boost your body :100:

I threw up every single day throughout my entire pregnancy with all three of my kids. I absolutely hated being pregnant and that’s one of the main reasons why I only have 3 kids. All I can say is hang in there mama. They are so worth it

Try peppermint it seems to settle the stomach

Try the magnet bands you wear on your wrists…it worked for me. Sea bands I think they are called.

with my first, I vomited all the time, for the first 3 months, lost 15 lbs, Then everything was fine, It will get better & the end results are the best…the baby

Peppermints out to help and please just drink regular Gatorade unless you read the label of the pedialyte and it doesn’t have suraclose in it. It’s becoming more common to “reduce sugar” but it’s going to cause more harm than good. Electrolyte water will help too!!!

This is hyperemesis gravidarum. Tell the OB/GYN that you cannot take the meds. They need to increase the urgency of your treatment NOW.

Diclectin, it is an anti-nausea drug the doctors gave me. It worked well for me.
I hope that you feel better soon.

I used to have to drink boost just so I could get the nutrients my son needed. The pills never worked for me. I could look at food and be sick and this happened the whole 9 mths. Chamomile tea helps ease the belly. But not for long good luck.

lots of women keep saltine near by they help

I had to take Promethazine every 4 hours while I was pregnant with my daughter because I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum and was sick like that. There are other meds that they can give you to take while pregnant too, Zophran and Reaglan(spelling might be off) I couldn’t do either of them. I tried several home remedies and nothing worked, small meals and I would make shakes with the Carnation instant breakfast and ice cream to help when I was having good days and hold things down.

With my first I went to target and bought the preggie pop drops that have ginseng and it helped! With my last one it didn’t help. What helped me was a combination given to me by my OB of reglan, unisom in the night & vitamin b6! It helped so much!!!
All of these drug ingredients she said were ingredients of a anti nausea medicine Diclegis but it’s hardly covered by insurance so this is how to do it over the counter. If this doesn’t work u can also ask for prescription zofran but I found the combo works better if u keep up with it!

Try eating celery sticks

Tell the Dr. and they will prescribe you nausea meds. It won’t hurt the baby, but trust me when I tell you this, you do not want to end up in the hospital dehydrated. The meds really help! The other thing you can do is drink a glass of milk when you first wake up in the morning. Get up out of bed slowly too. The milk will help coat your stomach. It was my go to every morning and helped me get thru the drive on the way to work. Also try not to drink anything acidic like orange juice. It’ll make you more nauseated. I also would not recommend drinking coffee on an empty stomach.

I lost 25 pound when I was pregnant with my first. I went into labor at 33 weeks and he was a premie. He is going to be 27 on the 28th of February. My suggestion for you is get some ensure or some kind of protein drinks. Talk to your Dr and get some zofran. It doesn’t fix it but it helps… Baby needs more than water. Hopefully it gets better for you…

Diclegis was my saving grace, and kept me from being hospitalized.

First, talk to your OBGYN about some medication to help. don’t drink COLD drinks, room temp water or ginger ale, saltines, water based fruits etc

Spearmint pepper mints and ice cold water helped me. Nothing else seemed to work.

Candied ginger. Really any candy with real ginger. There is also a water with ginger flavoring - I could not find a link but Harris Teeter and Walmart usually carry it. Hope you feel better.

Room temperature Ginger Ale

Try adding flavors to your water or waiting 15-20 in between water and food intake… it sounds crazy but sometimes the water drinking in itself made me nasueated…
You could try Ensure, Pedialyte or maybe a milkshake…
It will get better just hang Tough!

Everything I ate, drank & smelt made me throw up. Popsicles were my friend. Salt helped (obviously in moderation) on a lemon.

saltines before getting out of bed in the moring.

I had really bad morning sickness with my second and I would keep a bunch of crackers on my nightstand. As soon as I woke up, before I even sat up, I’d grab a few and nibble on them. Ginger ale helped so much for my nausea too, ginger helps settle the stomach.
Also durning both my pregnancies once my cravings kicked in, if I wasn’t craving it I couldn’t stomach it.

Since you can’t take the pills for nausea ask your dr about the patch that goes behind the ear.

My second trimester is when I got hit with constant nausea and throwing up I would get so sick I literally thought I was dying. There wasn’t much the dr could do the only thing I could keep down was saltine crackers and ginger ale

Saltine crackers help with nausea I was sooooo nauseous with my second baby and a older lady told me about eating saltine crackers and it really did help alot I had a pack of them with me everywhere I went

Have you tried just a bite here and there so you can get something on your stomach…try this many times throughout the day

I was super sick my entire pregnancy with my youngest. The only way I was able to keep anything down was literally just eating a cracker or bite of something every couple hours. I would literally eat a strawberry or a baby carrot, something super small every couple hours. If I tried to eat anything more I’d get sick.

I’m taking bonjesta for my pregnancy nausea but for awhile there I was literally only able to eat baby food maybe try to eat baby food I ate the fruit ones like mangoes, apples, strawberries, bananas, I ate the puffs and yogurt melts my doctor said sometimes that’s all you can do because baby food is made for developing stomachs babies stomachs are so sensitive and while we’re pregnant our stomachs mimic the same sensitivities she said whatever worked to help keep some nutrition in me was better than not eating at all

My doctor recommended I take a b6 vitamin and unisom sleep tabs 25mg together at bed time and it cures morning sickness. It is safe for pregnancy and helps you sleep.

My first pregnancy was like that. Back then they said since I couldn’t take the meds and nothing helped that I was on my own.
And I was. It sucked ass, but I’m still alive and my baby was healthy. I wish I knew what to tell you because I remember being soooo miserable.

Try baby food get ones with fruit and saltiness ginger ale

Ginger chews or gum!

When I was pregnant with my first child I put some crackers and Water by my bed and I ate those first thing in the morning before I got out of bed and I would get up when instantly throw them up and then I would be fine if I didn’t put the water and crackers by my bed and ate them then I would throw up my breakfast so you might try that

Try a jello,sm frequent sips of flavored water. pudding, Pedialyte something light. Ginger Ale. Saltines.

Britt Renee-Anne can you give her some ideas to help I know you had a lot of issues throwing up during your pregnancy

Motion sickness meds are one of the only things that controlled my HG in my most recent pregnancy, I couldn’t handle all the other typical recommendation but citrus (lemons, limes, and oranges) juice shots were also heaven for me. Plus they provide vitamin C and help electrolytes stay within your body so it’s a win win with keeping hydrated.

Got the motion sickness meds from Amazon for like $5

I had hyperemesis with all of my pregnancies and took Zofran. My daughter had it as well and took diclegis and that worked for her. I had home IV’s with my last pregnancy. There are too many comments so someone may have suggested this already. Hang in there around six months mi e eased.

My family member was sick like that they end putting in an iv because she was getting dehydrated.

When I was a Tugboat Captain’s Wife I ate a lot of crackers.

With my first 2 pregnancies I found having dry toast and a black cup of tea sorted it, my last pregnancy it was iced shards and dry biscuits worked but the other didn’t, good luck

Zofran the ones that taste like fruit punch and dissolve under your tongue and then ramen noodles and ginger ale. Also, lemonade helps with nausea. I was super sick all the time with my last pregnancy. My son is 13 months now…

Maybe talk to your doctor about hypermesis gravidarum. I couldn’t handle crackers when pregnant so I ate plain chips, cucumber slices, chicken noodle soup and boost for my first trimester

With all 3 kids I Had to use this candy its was hard candy it was from maternity destination. So many to choose from. I would eat one right after i would eat or just whenever i felt sick. I used them all the way thru all my pregnancies. I tried everything else but this candy worked. They only have them at pregnancy stores
