I have Hyperemesis (extreme morning sickness during pregnancy) and I’ve had to go back and forth between zofran and phenergan and phenergan suppositories. Ginger ale helps some, wintergreen lifesavers seem to help some. If you can’t stay out of the bathroom you probably need some IV fluids to help. Good luck mama.
Ginger tea is good for nausea.
What state? If you have the legal option, I highly suggest cannabis. It helps nausea and increased appetite. My daughter wouldn’t be here without it.
If your dehydrated then your Doctor should put you in the hospital on IV fluids for a couple of days. Because dehydration can cause early labor
Go to the chemist and get wafer sea sickness or motion sickness tablets or ask them which are the best ,eat crackers
A prescription medication called Diclegis saved me when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was sick all day every day from 6 weeks until 16 or 17 weeks. I ended up severely dehydrated and in the ER at one point until I was prescribed that medicine. It was a lifesaver. She’s 10 weeks old now and apparently unaffected by how sick I was.
Ur Dr can give you something for that.
Hopefully it will pass. With my third child I was sick for most of my pregnancy. In the first half I lost 30 pounds. What finally changed it forme was eating small amounts of food at a time. I keep track of what I ate & if I got sick. For along time I just ate peanut butter & jelly on toast-had to be toast. Bread made me sick. I hope you find what works for you soon.
There’s tons of morning sickness meds you can get OTC…my doctor had to prescribe me reglan and it helped a ton!
I have been diagnosed with severe morning sickness. I have been having a hard time eating. Last few days I have only drank gaterade no food at all really. Today I was able to eat a bit but honestly the way I look at it as long as I can keep fluids in my body I’m okay and I try to eat
I was prescribed Zofran and told to eat protein. Meats, peanut butter, beans. Protein helps with the nausea.
Get some cbd. It has very little thc in it & is legal in most states now. If you are in a legal marijuana state go to a dispensary & get some full spectrum oil
It is safe & will most definitely help with nausea & keeping food down.
I had this very issue all thru 2 pregnancies, smoked marijuana anytime I needed help & it truly was helpful.
My kids ended up being healthy & 5 to 6 pounds at birth no nicu stay needed. (I was only 115 pounds fully pregnant)
Today they are very smart, healthy, good adults having babies of their own.
I had to go into the hospital every other day with both sets of twins for IV fluids to keep us healthy
Honest to God the only thing that helped me was bringing fruit loops to bed with me in a ziplock, and before i even moved in the morning i would eat a few fruit loops, cheerios worked too, then a room temperature clear Gatorade.
I was like that for the first six months. The pills didn’t work. Someone told me to eat crackers before I got out of bed. That did work for a little while. Finally, I just started eating what I wanted and yes it would come up later. Then, it just stopped.
Peppermint, saltine crackers, ginger ale
go to the drs i had this with my last child and ended up on tablets , for the life off me i cant remember what the tablets were called
I had to drink a bit of juice and have some sort of bread/cracker every morning. I was horribly sick for about the first 5 months but I could at least keep the more bland foods down for awhile. Eat slow, try little snacks all day. It’s different for everyone and each pregnancy though, good luck.
Nibble on salty crackers before you even get out of bed
I had severe morning, noon & night sickness with my daughter until I was about 4-5 months pregnant. Like had to pull the car over and puke, it was awful. I was so sick for so long, I ended up losing weight while I was pregnant with her.
Nothing “fixed” it for me, just time. Sometimes if I would just try to snack and not eat a lot at a time, I could keep something down. It was just so random. It will pass eventually.
Congratulations!
I started drinking liquid IV and it’s helped me a ton, I was a whole week no food and no liquid would stay down until I drank this!! 12 weeks currently and have lost 19 lbs since becoming pregnant
Try broth, that’s all my sister in-law could eat when she was pregnant.
The only thing that helped with mine was soda water and limes. Took forever to figure it out but once I did it was a lifesaver
I went through that with my 5th child. Then there wasn’t that much in the market. Sometimes I could keep saltines and mt dew down. I was sick most of that pregnancy.
I threw up every single day for 9 months straight with my first child… this was 19 years ago … a couple of salt free saltine crackers before getting out bed helped. Since then theres a bunch of natural remedies on the market… prego pops … ginger chews … thats about all i got for ya mama.
Lemons, every day all day.
Try wearing travel/motion sick wrist bands from the chemist, they have like a button on the inside of them that sits on a pressure point, it may help the nausea and allow you to eat something,
You need to go to the doctor so they can assess you and help provide a solution that is viable for you. It’s never going help if you dismiss it before you talk to them. Tell them what you would and wouldn’t be willing to take, they know other therapies.
Take unisom and b6 vitamin every night
Rub ginger oil on your feet and put socks on immediately and get in bed cuz that stuff stinks but it will help!! Also ask your doctor about phenergan rub on the wrist meds and zofran melt under your tounge pills. Together those should help!! If you can’t keep anything down soon sister you will need to go get some iv therapy because you might be nauseous because you are extremely dehydrated!! Find a place that does iv therapy and ask for some hydration
Peppermint stars helped me with nausea and heartburn.
Dtr for sure and search hyperemesis
Kate prince williams wife had the same thing and was hospitalized for dehydration.
Wrist bands ,Almonds, Powerade, ice blocks , small little regular bites of food. You may need to be put on monitoring / drips/ viatamins. Take care of yourself. It can be very serious you are not being soft. Feel free to pm me as I have experienced this. some people find acupuncture help. Also try to eat something little as soon as you wake and something like cheese right before bed. Even if you do not feel like it. It can help.
Try eating crackers and ginger ale
Eat things that don’t smell like plain pasta mash potato’s. Smell lemons stay away from kitchen smells.
Doxylamine succinate. Found in the OTC sleep medicine like unisome. But It’s different than what’s in the generic versions so make sure you read the label.
Doxylamine Succinate
I’m currently experiencing the same. Crackers and ginger ale before getting out of bed in the morning. Eat slow. I’m taking a regiment of zofran and reglan. Bland foods an super small portions. Peppermint gum helps sometimes. I’m about try the pressure point wrist bands to see if it helps. Smelling peppermint helps for awhile.
Honestly I ordered the plastic barf bags online and have just been carrying them around everywhere and while working. It’s been miserable, but I really have no other options as I’m trying everything else I can think of or have been suggested. Definitely watch for signs of dehydration and go get IV fluids. I’ve had to once so far.
Best of luck to you
I know a lot of ppl are going to feel some type of way for me saying this but I was the same way and my ob told me to smoke pot and it would help.
No drama please with this one…but I know exactly how you feel! Smoke some pot! That was the only thing that would help!
Vitamin b6 helps with nausea. I took it instead of diclectin
Get some CBD and THC products
Rootbeer helped my morning sickness…
Unisom before bedtime helped a lot!
Been there, ate freezeies, they stayed down
I used “preggy pops” and I was insane and got over nausea with pickle juice…one of the pregnancy things don’t ask me to now but at that time it helped. i was sick a solid 6 months it was horrible
Hi my wife was the same with our girls we used Emotrol… It all natural and they have it for upset stomach or nausea… It taste like cherry syrup…it is safe for you and baby no alcohol.and at that continue with Pedialyte or gatorlyt…
The only thing that helps me is the medication they give me, and sour things when that wears off. I feel you.
You can get it at Walmart/Walgreens/cvs in the pharmacy or ask your Dr…about it…
God bless you and baby i
Prayers you way mama…to much ginger can be toxic for baby…
With my last one, I couldn’t eat meat or carbs. Basically had to eat vegetarian, a lot of soups/broth. If I felt queasy at all I wouldn’t eat until the feeling subsided and then small slurps of thin soup. Egg drop was my favorite. Lots of Gatorade too. I lost a lot of weight but keeping something down is better than nothing. Good luck
Try to freeze some Powerade or grapes. That helped me cuz it wasn’t heavy
I experienced that with both of my pregnancies but the last one was the worst because I’ve been throwing up too much the baby didn’t grow much. I was like that for 8 months. Pills and food all go down the drain/toilet bowl. Crackers or plain bread are the only one I could ALMOST tolerate. Nothing helped me, tbh. I hope you can find your own solution hugs, momma!
This was me my first pregnancy, and man it was not fun at all! I’m sorry! Nothing really worked for me either, the doctors can give you something stronger and that helped a little, but the best thing for me was peppermint candies and tea! They were the only thing that helped! I would start and end my day with them! I hope it gets better usually at about 20weeks you should feel better but that is not always the case!
Try a breakfast drink. It’s a powder, usually chocolate. It’s easier to take and provides some vitamins and nutrients
U can’t take bonjesta?
Why? It’s super safe
Sounds like Hyperemesis Gravidarum
Are you taking a vitamin with iron in it? I figured out later that I couldn’t tolerate iron, but they always want pregnant women to take it. If so, try a day or two without it.
Sometimes I find ginger ale and soda crackers work. Just sip on the ginger ale little bits at a time. Ginger is good for you so the ginger ale will help calm your tummy and the soda crackers will help put something in your tummy without upsetting it. I find the ginger ale is better cold. Also you could try going on the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Apple sauce, & Toast) they are food all easy on you stomach especially after you have been vomiting and won’t upset your stomach.
Malox at pharmacy. I was throwing up my entire pregnancy. But I could keep things down when I took it. It doesn’t taste the best but it kept most food down. Good luck.
lemon juice from fresh one cracker with salt on them
Join Babies Due July 2022
Peppermint candy saved me when I was pregnant with my girls. Saltines helped with my boys. Good luck sweetie. All of my pregnancies sucked, but the outcome will be so worth it
I would ask your dr for different medication. I suffered with being nauseous and sick with both my pregnancies and I didn’t really wanna take meds but I would be miserable without them. Other than that I was using sea bands for nausea and pepermint candies have helped a lot.
Ginger candy and I’m gonna go on say it’s a girl cause of nausea sweets will help
I know this sounds strange , but green olives worked for me .
The prenatal pills made me sick, I had to take folic acid by itself and eat really well. Try that ?
With both of my boys I was SOOO sick, from 31/2-4 weeks, until birth. Literally. I had to rotate phenerghan pills, rub on phenerghan, and Zofran. I ate things based on what was least bad to vomit. It did help me if I had a few crackers by the bed with sweet tea… peppermints some what helped. But was in the hospital a couple of times with my second (kidney stones on top of it) it was so bad. Prenatal vitamins made it SOOOO much worse, so my dr actually told me to stop taking them, that with how sick they made me it done more harm than good. I did take folic acid daily though. (Helps with brain development) both of my boys were born healthy. Also, be careful drinking to many electrolytes, to many can actually make you retain water and cause a lot of issues. Definitely speak to your dr ASAP again, until they give you something that does help. Good luck
When you feel like you can’t eat try eating a little bit of cracker’s
Arrowroot biscuits, eat some before you get out of bed. My ex sister in law suffered terribly with sickness throughout her pregnancy, the only thing she could eat was tinned tomatoes on toast.
Have you tried crackers?
My daughter had this issue with her first pregnancy. Her Doctor had her eat small snacks every hour. For example, she would have a package of crackers with peanut butter (6 cracker sandwiches), a serving size of peanuts, etc. She would eat every hour. This would stay down most of the time. It helped her get through her pregnancy.
Protien shakes were my go to!
I was so sick with my first I lost so much weight the thing that saved me were saltine crackers I ate a couple every so often so I had food in my stomach because I couldn’t keep anything down until I was about 6 months pregnant than I graduated to cereal I’m not sure why I was like that and I have 6 kids never had issues any other time like that
Honestly smoke a bowl it helped me
Try eating very small amounts very frequently. I found that the nausea mostly crept up for me if my tummy was too empty. Crackers are great at settling the stomach. Do it way before you think you would need to. Maybe every hour or so. The good news is, morning sickness does go away for many mamas-to-be right around the point you are at in your pregnancy! I hope you feel better very soon!! PS- if you can, try to fit in pregnancy healthy foods. If I’m remembering correctly, I ate eggs when I could (even though I’m not a big fan), because foods high in choline are very good for baby’s brain!
Take flint stone vitamins instead of prenatal ones it helps and it equals the same
Mary Jane … when I was pregnant with my second son, I had horrible morning sickness, dr actually told me to take a hit , I did take a small one and it help tremendously! I only did that like 3 times throughout my pregnancy … of course people are gonna have their opinion, I think weed is better than taking pills, or not eating at all
Meal replacements like shakes and smoothies and lemon scent helps me a lot what nausea
Try gingerale to settle your stomach
Saltine crackers that will help
Unisom and B6, try smoothies or meal replacement shakes, sourn things helped me too. Stuff like green apples, lemon heads, and that kind of thing. Fresh ginger helped too.
See if you can keep down something like Carnation Instant Breakfast, Ensure, or similar products for kids. Carry a water bottle of it around with you and take one sip at a time frequently. Nibble on meal replacement bars constantly, one molecule at a time. Would it help to crush your prenatal vitamins and mix them in a flavored drink? I know they seem like they’re the size of footballs. Bouillon and the blandest Ak-Mak crackers were good, also plain yogurt. But the key seems to be constant eating and drinking in very tiny amounts, and have peppermints, saltines and ginger ale by the bed as well as something you can throw up in. Hope this passes and you feel better soon or that your doc can provide you with relief.
Tomato on toast worked for me
I tried all the home remedies and then moved to vitamins and pills from the Drs, finally, with both my kids I ended up on Zofran, melts under the tongue as everything including liquids just came up. They warned me of possible side effects but also told me that I cant continue to loose the weight I was and continue to get dehydrated as that was a bigger risk to my baby they worked instantly, I had a low dose and it allowed me to start eating small amounts till my sickness passed around 20 weeks. I was in the hospital from 7 weeks with both kids on IVs
Go ask the doctor for the pregnancy pills to help with your nausea they work so good! Hopefully it goes away soon! Congratulations on your baby!
drink ensure or smoothies if you can’t eat, at least you’ll get your vitamins and proteins
I had to eat small meals. Also things I didn’t like normally helped. Never drank pop and coke was one of the only things I could handle. And couldn’t eat off metal any silverware Also was put on an anti nausea med took up to 3 times a say.
My daughter had some tummy issues.(not pregnant) but some one said for her to drink aloe juice 2 times a day for a week. Just a little bit (dixy cup size). And get ginger chews. We did this and after a week her tummy was great. She was able to eat properly again. The aloe juice helped heal her tummy. And the ginger chews helped with nausea. We got both at louis naturals in Scarborough. But I’ve seen aloe juice at the supermarket. They have some with lemon which is ok to use. The ginger chews I’ve also seen at the new seira store near target in Scarborough/south portland
When I was pregnant with my oldest eating small snacks of protein every 2 yrs while I was awake helped. Doesn’t have to be much. Hand full of nuts. Pb on crackers, other forms of protein.
Citrus helped me a lot.
I sucked on lemon candy all the dang time. Oatmeal too. Bland as freaking possible just to get something down.
Also orange juice because it tastes the same coming back up.
Only thing worked for me.
Wheetbix with hot water and sugar. Like a thick soup consistency.
Very mild flavour but enough not to vomit it up.
I ate crackers with my first to help. The sour cream and chives captain wafers. I’d snack on those and that was the only thing to help and Sprite. I remember being overly sick in public and some older lady got me a sprite and said to sip on it. I never deny advice from old folk
Plain water with some lime juice
Check out a hyperemesis gravidarium group on Facebook! Been a huge help for me. And try other medication options, don’t just try one and decide it doesn’t work. I went through 10-15 different medications before my OB finally put me on zofran and that’s been the only thing that helped. I lost 20lbs in the first 10 weeks i was pregnant. I still weigh less than my pre-pregnancy weight at 34 weeks, but I’m finally able to eat and drink and I’m not in the hospital weekly or multiple times a week for fluids.
Try cutting an orange into wedges and suck the juice out of one piece at a time slowly then eat the rest of it. Slow is the key.
Have you asked your doctor about hypermesis gavardium (HG) aka extreme morning sickness? I am not trying to sound sarcastic. Some people have never heard of it before and if it goes too far, a woman can end up in the hospital
