I was asked to wear something blue for my sisters wedding

So I’m in my sister’s wedding, and I was asked to be her something blue? What is my role or anything? I just never heard of that?

blue mean?
‘Something blue’ is part of the wedding tradition. It’s an unofficial bridesmaid role. Friends wear blue to the wedding. It’s a way to honor friends without having them be official bridesmaids. They don’t necessarily have to wear blue, they could wear a blue bracelet or something.Oct 21, 2024

It’s an old wedding tradition where you have something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue for good luck. There’s no role or additional responsibilities, you just need to wear something blue like she asked, and unless she specifically gave you a shade (like baby blue) you pick whatever shade of blue you want

Something old, something new, blue and borrowed is for the bride. Asking others to wear blue defeats the purpose. Your in the wedding, so is blue part of the color scheme? She’s your sister…just ask her wtf lol
